@Samurai This college is near MGM college. While coming from udupi towards manipal got to take a left just before MGM college starts. This route also leads to Sharada residential school. Go on this road and hit a left and after 100 mts is vaikunta baliga law college.
That area also hold EMHS school and one Degree college(Forgot its name)

Old Fiat's, Ambassador's and Omni's are a common sight at the garages. No, not for repair but just abandoned and lying as junk.

Hey, you missed the Mahindra dealership on the same road. Within 2Km stretch of NH-17, one can find Mahindra, Chevy, Tata, Hyundai and Maruti dealership. Abharan Motors is the place that fitted my GV skid plates.

Actually we both are right, I remembered the old address from the 70s, you are refering to the new address near MGM college.

At one time, the Ambassador was the most preferred tourist car. But the title is now being taken over slowly by the Tata Indicab.

Mahindra mini buses are commonly used for inter-city trips. The same bus is also available as a goods vehicle and is pretty common in Udipi.

Whatever you do, avoid travelling by the front-engined ricks especially on bad roads.

Common sight in the city. Ambassadors, Fiat's, Omni's are a common sight on Udipi roads. You'll ocassionally find a few MH-registered Esteems/800's and a couple of Cielo's and Astra's too.
Amongs bikes there are a lot of RX100's (badges as RX135) and TVS/IND Suzuki Max 100. The Bajaj M80 is also very popular here.

Do you want photos of the old building where your dad went or the new building which he may not relate?

^would like to see the old building especially.actually ,He would like to see.even vaikunta baaliga college website dont have the pics as well!.
I showed him Karnatak university website(dharwad) lately ,which he was very happy to recall(had the LLM course there).
Then ,it seems even a decade back ,there was lot of students from Udupi law college(especially malayalees ,the nagging population in mangalore and other areas!LOL!).even I got a friend who had his LLB from Vaikunta Baaliga college.

Is there still Ballal Motors ,Tourist Bus Operators in Mangalore and nearby areas? Dad told there Bus service was very famous during 1969-70 ,where they got the First Aircraft like Luxuary Interiror and seatings bus service to Bombay and all.recalled ,the first such service in south india ,may be even before TVS of Trichy.

Ballal Tourist is still a very prominent name in tourist bus business. I'm not sure if they operate outside of karnataka now but they had services to Mumbai and Pune and Goa also before.
