But like you, I did enjoy Naldehra - beautiful, peaceful & rather unspoilt
Thanks Ami. Hmmm, so finally met someone who liked Naldehra. I was thinking i am the only spoilt fruit in the entire basket.

Indeed, it's an awesome place to unwind yourself.

+1. I stayed for a couple of days at Naldhera in April last year. It was indeed a great place to chill out.

i am still deciding what has attracted me most of your trip ,the place or the food

the close up on the parathas and kebabs specially makes you feel hungry right away!

your pics in post no.25 makes you look like some jaagirdaar looking towards his personal wealth/estate

Nice pics, Avi. I got reminded of my trip way back in Jan, 2002. I met with the same fate as you---no snow.
By the way, is your hotel (Pinewood) located near YMCA, near the apex of the lift?
As regards food in Old Delhi, did you visit Ghantewala sweets? I'm told that shop is there from Shah Jahan's time.

avi your travelogue is sure cold and frosty except for those kebabs which are mouth watering. Heck give us some signature shots of the scenery. I see most landscape and the building pics are tilted, since you weren't driving am sure you could have spent more time shooting pics.
Problem is that I love nitpicking .

BTW nice attempt at panning the Vespa, am sure you could do better.

Thanks Riju, looks like i am going to be an amateur all my life. I have neither learnt more about photography and know almost nil about post processing since i got the camera. God know when i am going to do that.

No, we were about 1.5kms away from the Lift. Our hotel was situated right behind the HP petrol pump which is in the city of Shimla.

Well, let me share a secret with you. My trip to HP was actually to survey which part of Himachal to buy. Seems like i let out that secret from my pic in Post 25.

Why did you miss Kullu Manali from this trip? I feel Kullu and Shimla are quite near to each other, right?

LOL, it was THAT time of year!
All hotels whole heartedly engage in this very lucrative activity!

Nice pics and a nice travelogue too.
Dint know that there was a hdfc atm in shimla. Had searched for one ... probably in the wrong places.
That poor horse reminds me of my early days at school.
Good stuff.

You said it. At that point of time, i was so frustrated, i would have even paid 2k for that room. Thankfully, got away with 1.5K. I know it was robbery but, in those circumstances, you can't help it.
