Mumbai to Lonavala drive... ends in Goa!!!

So there we were, me, my wife (natasha 81), Devang (pdev), Ankit (anku), Ramie (ramie2400) and Devang's friend Leo. Saturday night, at BKC. On our way to Lonavala. It was supposed to be a quite little drive, some boozing shoozing and back to Mumbai. After kalti from kalti.com member Dan Lalan (as usual), we headed to Lonavala at 12:45 am in two cars, Anku's Skoda VRS and Ramie's pimped up Getz.
As we were nearing Panvel, I get a call from Devang, saying he just read the highway signboard which says 'Goa - 580 kms.' I say "so what?" He says "let's go to Goa." I ask Anku, he too says yes. My wife is more than happy. So we take a right from Panvel and off to Goa!
We drive through the night, stopping at each and every possible chai tapri, paan tapri etc and reach Goa on Sunday morning at 10:30.
Just one small problem. As none of us had planned for a long vacation, we were not carrying extra clothes. So we book few small hotel rooms, dump our stuff and head to Baga for some shopping. A few chaddis and banyans later we're all set for Goa. Had the time of our lives. Food, food and a lot more food. A lot of clubbing and some hot paaplets

One small problem though. No one felt like going back. So we stayed and stayed and stayed. What was supposed to be a night out in Lonavala turned in to a three and half day vacation in Goa. It was one crazy, crazy trip. Anku and Ramie bhaiyya, please start uploading the pictures.

Good narration of how you turned up in Goa instead of Lonavala. Have you got any beach pics?

Amazingly long detour, but looks like you guys had a blast. Which hotel in Baga? The pool really looks inviting.

If a lonavalla trip ends in Goa, wonder where a Goa trip will end.....

Fantastic !! That's what life should be about.

The best trips are usually unplanned and happen in a jiffy.

Oh, I miss Goa so much !!

OT - I was in Goa with a few friends on the long republic day weekend. Needless to say, after 3 blissful days in the sun and sand, no one ever wanted to return to the agonies of life in Mumbai. But for the paapi stomach everyone had to get back to work.

I miss GOA

Guys, your detour to Goa looks like a lot fun. I am sure you must have had a blast with the VRs on the Goa highway.

Some more pictures please!
