Yosemite Natl. Park

This saturday, me TG and his friend headed over to Yosemite.
The plan was to be out of San Jose by 9am, but as usual got a bit late.
The rental was an avenger, and she did have a tough time climbing, with engine groaning as it struggled to pull 3500 Lb with the puny 150bhp engine.

Since I was driving do not have the in car shots, TG should have those, but we made one Vista point stop

The ride

We headed towards the park, and around noon got the first view of the mighty rocks!

Yosemite is one of my favorite places in the westcoast. It is nice to see it in pics after a long time. Also if you guys get a chance, take a trip on Highway 1 if you have not done it already. The drive and the view is amazing. You must plan on visiting Big Sur when on a Highway 1 trip. The pics are great, lets see some more pics.

Yes, keep them coming. I am yet to visit Yosemite, and it would be a dream come true for me. No snow there?

Regarding Hwy 1, I have heard that its suggested to travel from North to South, as the Sun's position remains well suited for photography. I am not done this myself, so, not sure about the authenticity of this suggestion.

The noon was pleasant, in the sun. Shade was cold, and there was lot of snow in the meadows. Evening became cold with around 38-40F at 8pm

Well lots of snow, in the following pictures.
As for Big Sur, we started from bay area, and went down towards south till hearst castle, and then came back up
