i disagree, i think that is an awesome looking viper. why didn't you like it though?
the srt and the mustang look gorgeous.

The paint scheme! Apart from that, it's ok. I'm not a big fan of it, but it's ok. The paint scheme here though is terrible!

Day 4). 18th September Thursday.
Similar to the previous two days. Main difference was that today I got to get out of Halls 8 and 9 and had a look at some other stalls. We went to the Aftermarket and tuning section and it was very disappointing. It was one of the sections I was very eager to visit. It didn’t have anything special. It had a huge Lorinser stall at the beginning. I took some pics and then was caught (AGAIN) by one of the “Photo control” officials and had to make a big drama of deleting the pics and all. Of course did nothing of that sort and continued my picture clicking like crazy. Saw Lenso stall, Konig stall and various others.

Also saw this stall where they had some vintage cars.

There was a Thule stall as well mainly focusing on the snow tyres and the chains for the tyres during winter. There was a K&N stall as well. All this while, dad and I are being accompanied by a good friend from back home. This person owns (in partnership with others) a few car dealerships in Bangalore. He too never misses the Automechanika and had come this year as well. We had a good time.
We also saw 3 Ferraris that were on display An F430 Scuderia (which was chipped by Novitec), a 599 GTB Fiorano (also chipped) and a normal 360. All these cars were in stalls showcasing mainly alloy wheels. Again, these cars are MEANT to be photographed!! I mean it’s an insult if someone passes by these cars and doesn’t photograph them!! I stood next to the cars while my dad’s friend clicked the pics.

Later on, we came out of this stall and met up with some of my dad’s friends. They were the pioneers in bringing K&N into India. We had general discussions with them abt the show this year. Everyone was unanimous in declaring that the show this year was very subdued. They said that earlier there were way more people and way more participants. Also, earlier there were more freebies available for the visitors. This year, two whole halls were empty.

More pics from Day 4. This time from the Mercedes Stall. There was a DTM C class racer there. However, it was disappointing. They didnt have anything really interesting. We were done in 5 mins flat.

Once we were done with this, we headed back to Darmstadt. S and I (one of my colleagues) wanted to do some timepass in Darmstadt city centre. So, we headed back but in the Darmstadt railway station, we all split up and he and M wanted to drink some Orange juice while I wanted to go to the city centre ASAP. Dad wanted to have dinner at McDonalds.

I got back to the hotel, freshened up (not that you need to. The weather was wonderful and quite cold and you never actually felt the need to freshen up) and left. I took some more pics, had dinner somewhere there and got back. I again tried something new. Typical German snack. I honestly don’t know what it was called. I just pointed at it and the lady at the counter gave it to me. I did ask her the name but I forget!!

I also saw this Ferrari 430 near the city centre.

Got back to the room, watched some more Top Gear and slept.
