Nice travelogue and photos.

In one teh photos, the road with steel fence on the side is the Sandalwood forest area in Marayoor (near munnar). Everytime I pass through that, I feel like getting some sandalwood - but, since there are checkposts and checking, safe not to venture out for that.

Thanks for the info. I was not aware of it though I was thinking why so much of fancing, I thought it is due to animal passing by.

@Pawan- No offense really but just wanted to ask, why isn't your wife smiling in the snaps?

Again no offense.Paddy.

thanks for sharing your experience

I will be visiting this area when I am there in July and August months of this year. Please can you let me know if there are any star hotels to stay in. I am kind of spoiled by staying at lot of star hotels on business trips.

What is the closest airport to fly into to cover all these places you have visited if I decided not to drive.

Thanks
Satish
