Wow, Behror already! They're making very good time I must say, Shiv is flying - we parted company at Iffco chowk at 4.10 & I thought they'd take 2.5 to 3 hours.

My pleasure! Would have got them out quicker but then I realized (thanks to HVK last time around) that they just had to pass through Delhi to make it a true GQ drive.

So took them through Delhi instead of through the "Pahari". At Phase I, Gurgaon -

It was great meeting you guys, Good luck for the rest of the journey

Not Jaipur for sure. Target is Kishangarh (initial taget was Chittauragarh but I dont think they can make it, moreso when they have another 1000km for Mumbai which they have to do)

Update:10:15PM

They halted at Kishengarh for the night. Although they reached Kishengarh at 9:10PM but a misguided direction (They mometarily forgot Ramky's direction to be on the highway but entered into city) made them do some juglery for 40min before locating the hotel.

The drive was fast and smooth. Tomorrow they target Mumbai, a little less than 1100km, the gurus at that stretch (Ramky, HVK) are confident that can be achieved in a day tomorrow.

Thats for the day, More adventure for tomorrow.

2 More days to GO.

If possible please tell me at what time they expect to reach the Vadodara end of NE-1. I would like to come for a meet, a brief one as they have to travel more.

I am not leaving my contact number here openly. Tomorrow if its convenient to the guys travelling, I will PM them my number or will PM my number to anyone who can reach those who are traveling or arindam ray can PM me his number if its convenient for a brief meet.

Day 4 update

Today we started at 7:50.

As akroy informed the kanpur flyover of 25 km, we actually went backward 4 kms to get into it, rather than negotiating the city traffic. We made good time till Agra, but then crossed next 7 km in 45 minutes.

We were almost decided to skip Delhi and go to Gurgaon from Faridabad after the Agra debacle. But when Suman informed he will guide us through Delhi and time taken in that case will only be 20 minutes more, we went ahead to make it a 'TRUE' GQ run. Thanks Suman for your piloting, otherwise we would have lost precious time. ( Imagine driving in Delhi at 80 kmph and piloted by a Safari)

Rajasthan roads are pleasure to drive (and equally for me to sit on the navigator seat all the while).

And Diesel in Haryana is Rs 5/- cheaper than Bangalore!

By the way we skipped the lunch today to make-up some time.

So with a plan to start early (from our usual time) and cover 1100 km to Bombay tomorrow, signing off.

Plan to meet Ramky and aagoswami (have PMed you my number) on the way.

Temp was humid along AP, WB, Bihar but it is lot drier now. Not much of a difficulty in AC environs of Swift though.

Just had a talk with Arindam right now.

Around 150 kms before A'bad, they met with some accident, the car is a bit damaged but all occupants are fine. They have called in Ramky from A'bad and they will have to tow the vehicle.

I did not ask for the exact details except their location as they were just out of the accident. I called at around 1 PM, Arindam said he will call me later.
Then just now I had got call from him and he told me that the time at which I called, they were just coming out.

So as of now, the plan to meet near Vadodara is in a stand by phase.
If any more help is required or called for, I will pay a visit to them at A'bad.
