Hello All,

I am posting some of my photos of the trip to Manchinabele Dam near Bangalore. Its really a nice place to visit and just about 15 kms from 400years old Banyan Tree( Picnic Spot). People who loves to do Adventure can go there for rock climbing or trekking. You can also take a dip in water to get a break from your city Heat. The small valley looks very beautiful from the top of the mountain and its really a wonderful place to visit. here are some of the photos, btw this was my first trip in my new bought Fiat Petra PS EL.

Hey, good snaps and a very nice location. Might be the perfect place for the 3rd team-bhp bangalore drive.

Shan2nu

good photos. i'd been there almost half a year back on my palio. the roads leading to manchinabele are very bad, but my palio held on very gamely on that road.

Ok so it's not the perfect place for a drive. LOL

Shan2nu

ok. let me rephrase my statement;
he roads leading to manchinabele were very bad when i took my car there six months back :-)

nice place....good idea shantanu, can make a good tbhp drive/picnic over there

Well the road were not that bad .. may be I am accustomed to these kind of Road as I do most of my driving on Bannerughatta Road, Bangalore :)

But Its really worth visiting that place specially when the whether is calm and its not raining. This was my second visit in 15 days. First drive was with my Friends and second with my wife and son.

Cheers

One more thing, If you plan the trip, please take something to eat as you wont find shops or restaurant after Banyan tree.

cheers

Nice pics dude been there a couple of times. Roads & traffic on Mysore road can spoil the party. Although my best experience was when I reahced the dam around midnite totally awesome!
cheers,
Rai

People going to this place can take the following route.

1. Take Bangalore-Mysore highway.
2. Drive till Kumbalgod Junction which is around 15 Kms from OuterRing Road of Bangalore.
3. Take a right from Kumbalgod Junction and you will see a Railway crossing just 200metres on that road.. drive on the same road for around 10 kMs and you can reach the 400 yrs old Banyan Tree.
The same road goes to the Dam ..

4. From Banyan tree .. around 6kms you will find a circle from where you have to take a Left.

and then drive for around 8kms on the same road .. thats how you can reach the other bank of the lake.

Have a nice Drive
cheers

Nice Snaps greatDrive. Especially loved the 3rd snap with sun from the other side and the side glasses looking very dark and mysterious!!!
