Yaar,

What makes you think so....?

The VW will feature soon on T-BHP in few days

We reached Carbugs house.BTW the White Split Bus and the green Landrover belongs to Carbug, so neat they are. After some having a dekkho at some nice cars around the city, must say, hyderabad still has so many treasure that needs to be un-earthed. So many cars maaannn........... and ..........! (can't explain), and every gully you see jeeps crawling, you turn your head there are cars stored neatly in somebodys porch.

I admit i have only seen a miniscule of what Hyderabad has in store. Maybe next time i'll be able to do a complete darshan of all the Classics and Vintages around.

And we also saw DKG's packkards :-D

We are thankful to Carbug for his time and enthusiasm to show us around the city, since he had to get back to his office for an urgent meeting, he drops us back at the hotel and takes leave.

We reach the hotel room and get some much needed rest from the scorching heat of Hyderabad and that so maddening traffic.

As the day passes, its unfolding out to be a great exciting experience. My friend Brat001 though remained calm and silent and was more determined to get hold of some nice beauty to take home, from this city as a souvenir (not a small one but truly a big classic car)

And still my Hyderabadi biryani was waiting somewhere......

Some more pics of Day 2, and that means some more cars and cars..

Thanks,

Some more pics follows from Day 2: 23rd June 2009

It was scorching afternoon, damn these late monsoons. We were just on the verge of hunger, when we decided to take a walk down the bylanes of Lakdikapul to find one nice Biryani joint.

100 steps ahead, we see one tiny red car inside a building, that was a childrens hospital, we were about to mistake it for a showpiece then we felt we'll have a look at the car anyways. Closer we inch towards it......Fiat Topolino, wow....( no third smiley). On enquiry we found that car belonged to one Dr.Reddy who runs the hospital.

Hungry with dinosaurs running in our stomachs we persued further, on meeting the Dr. a middle aged man. what a man he was, so friendly, so communicative, well mannered, accomodating. Being strangers,we struck a chord instantly. Deep inside him we found there was this car freak who had driven best of the best cars since his college days starting with a Mercedes Stationwagon to the present 2 Merc C-classes and a direct import Nissan X-trial.

Meeting him was the best thing that ever happened to us.

Contd.....

As you can see, we were gorging in plate's full of the very famous Hyderabadi Biryani, that too 20 mins after meeting him at his clinic. The Dr. made our day and was also instrumental in completing our "Mission Hyderabad".(we'll talk about that in some more days)

After the Biryanis we sat and discussed his early car days, he showed us around his present Merc's that he owns, it was almost 2 hrs since we've met this guy and unrelantless talking and talking, his face suddenly lights up.."You guys must come with me now.....!!!!!??????" He gets his Nissan out and drives us to the most amazing place any Automobile freak would love to be in

Day 2: 23rd June 2009------"SUDHA CARS"

Meet this guy Sudhakar after whom this place is named after, i dont have words to express about the eons of work he's done towards contributing his time, passion money and energy towards Automobiles. Even replicate the Ford Model T. Hats off.... Mr Sudhakar.

Let pics do the talking.

Gladly, Mr Sudhakar is by heart a true Automobile freak, Addicted towards new creations using sheet metal and all sorts of Petrol engines available in India today, say a TVS mopeds to an Autorikshaw to a Maruti Esteem engines.

He has a dedicated set of people working round the clock perfecting the art of shaping metal, and also setting an engine on their creations like hand in glove.

He's faced lot of his parents wrath for wasting money on Automobiles, but today he's a proud owner of a one of its kind Automobile Museum, which by God's grace is doing well presently. Not to forget, he's also entered Guiness book of World Records for the tallest running Tricycle(Maybe 55 feet tall)

He's also building a larger scale model of Ford Model T, which will adorn his office as a reception table.

He's a shy person, who's more to himself, never bragging about his work. But i cant stop raving about his work.
