We need to meet some clients at Salem on last Thursday and decided to go by Cedia and come back on the same day.

Left 5am and reached Krishnagiri at 8:05am; covered 254km. Had bfast at Adayar Annadabhavan(in BP petrol bunk) on the highway after Dhrmapuri; reached Salem at 10am. total distance 376km from chennai. After the meeting left Salem at 1pm; break for lunch at AA bhavan; tea break at Vellor; reached Poondamali at 5:30pm; Home by 7pm.

Very good drive and enjoyed the drive at every moment; roads are excellent expect some patches between Dhrmapuri and Salem;

Total KM driven: 759
FE: 12.54
Regular petrol at BP.
speed: 110 -130 most of the time; touched 140-150 in some times.
Toll: Rs. 275/- for both ways.

I am a regular on the Bangalore-Chennai sector. The roads are indeed pretty good. People complain about the long curves on the road but I feel that it just makes it more fun and keeps you alert.
I travelled on the Dharmapuri-Salem sector once in April '09 on the way to Kodaikanal. Roads were awful then. Good to hear that things have improved.

Is the A2b on the by pass of dharmapuri (inside town i know there is a meenakshi bhavan) or in the town.

its on the bypass. pretty huge place. u cant miss it

it is on the bypass in BP bunk. when you drive from Krishnagiri, after crossing Dharmapuri you will find it right hand side.

it is done almost except couple places( about 1-2km max);
