Sudevji, Amazing travelogue especially the discourse part between various people . Actually this reminds me of a few crazy trips that I did to meet my wife.

Inspired by you will start a thread on that

That is why I could not understand some comments in another thread where some newly hitched guy was complaining that his wife does not like to travel with him. It has to be shared passion with a bit of give and take
(okay more give than take)
Well you just signed your death warrant if she is reading this.

Awesome drive! It is pure insane passion for driving. Gotta hand it to you sir.

I agree on the first part. My better half would not let me have anybody else in the Navigator's seat come what may. You saw that when she turned up at the Renualt Road show eight-months pregnant. And the little one is the reason I have stayed away from the Raid or the Desert Storm for the last couple of years. Hope to catch up with you and mam soon.

Lovely travelogue. It really brings out the passion that you, as a couple, have for traveling and you may, for sure, be able to count in your fingers, people with similar passions.

A warm cup of tea in the hills with a friend, a detour immediately after a business meeting, all this just to spend an few night hours and a morning. I salute you sudev. Looking forward to more and more of such awesome narrated travelogues.

Sudev Sir, Great writing. Clear & crisp the conversations with your better half were cool. Reminded me of the conversations we have on a lot of our unplanned trips.

Thanks you but then that is what makes us happy and brings out a great smile when you remember such mad dashes. Almost got me started on once when we went to Solan for lunch and back home for dinner!

Thanks for the compliments. So why not put out your experience and share with friends.

Joys multiply when shared, sorrows get divided.

@Suman: Your travelogue was inspirational on to this. There were lots of other conversations but I though all of you will get bored. Afterall it was a weekend travelogue and could not take a full week to post 8-)

Another interesting dialogue:

DW: Don't you think you are bit mad driving through night like this?
ME: As long its a bit only
DW (snort): Balance is totally mad

.... a bit later ...

ME: It looks like its is going to rain
DW: Why?
ME: Look at the lightning
DW: That's only press guys shooting a mad driver

... a bit more later ...

DW: Why silent now?
ME: I throw in my towel maam
DW: I do not understand why you try in the first place

Such priceless conversations made the journey enjoyable.

Any case I discovered that by marking our different areas on our route (original plan before our madness hijacked us) I could get SMS alarms through Vehicle Tracker when we passed through those areas. Log of the same:

Okay for those who are not able to decipher or understand "Hinglish" this is the translation:

Quote:
Me(loudly): GPS kyu nahin pack kiya?
Why did you not pack GPS?
Quote:
She(challenging): Waqt per plan kyoon nahin banate?
Why did you not make the program in time and give me enough notice to pack
Quote:
Me(superior tones): Adhe ghante ka notice diya to tha
Gave you half an hours notice
Quote:
She(chilly): Adhe ghante me kapde latte pack karoon yaan GPS.
How can I pack clothes and everything in half an hour and you also expect me to pack GPS
Quote:
Me(slightly exasperated): But you know how useful it is
Quote:
She(getting edgy): To khu kyoon nahin leliya? Waise to hamesha side table par rakha hota hai.
So why did you not pick it up? It is always lying on your bedside table
Quote:
Me(exasperated): Paar main to jaldi me thaa
You know I was in a hurry
Quote:
And then she give the most convincing argument to shut me up:
She(??????): Itni jaldi thi to mujhe bhi nahin late
If you were in so much hurry then you should have left me also behind

Hmmmm....Does the original flavour come though?
