If anyone can contact them please let them know that best place to stay in Kargil is the upper JKTDC guest house. Big room = 180rs and Big room with drawing room = 300rs.
For non veggies, there is an old man selling kababs on the road outside PC chachas hotel. Amazing heavenly kababs, probably the only good food in Kargil which is mostly closed due to Ramzan and lack of tourists.

HVK & Saji in one Scorpio, zoomed and crossed Soji la pass. and Lalu & Glen right now crossing it. Sadly they seem to be seeing 3KMs of truck traffic in there.

Arindhum is not in the seen now, since he was on chilling out in some place Should be joining these guys tonight, I guess.

the updates have stopped coz these guys would not be having network.

As per plan they were gonna head to Padam in Zanskar Valley. Am sure the network is poor there(if any)

They will be back in Kargil only tomorrow night (as per plan)

Padum has BSNL network, however its a 11 hour gruelling ride from Kargil, as there is no road just a gravel rock track

what are you saying, good i decided against going half way to Pensi La. (will do it in my next trip for sure)

i had a time crunch and would have had to get back to kargil the same day at any cost because i had only 1 extra day (which i later used to go to Vaishno Devi)

If you do not have BSNL do not expect coverage except in Leh and around.
Ladakh is true BSNL territory and even that does not work as expected.
Kaushik as we discovered its sms only territory

ya we could hardly communicate even though both of us had the BSNL sim. SMS is the way to go in that region.

Sir, I could not get Lalu / HVK. This was through SMS. From SMS I am sure, HV, Saji, Lalu &Glen reached there. Not sure of others. But assume they should be.
