Going through your log and excellent pics my desire to visit Leh has multiplied manifolds. Saving now to buy a 4x4 for myself :)

Mine went through a snowy Shimla-Chail when she was 6 months old. Basically it's the remoteness of the area which necessitates the super-extra planning for the little ones.

Except for Marismik La, Kyun Tso, and road to Punguk behind observatory, we did not need 4x4 anywhere.
So you can definitely take the bolero. Its a very capable vehicle, and the non crde should be better than the safari on steep inclines

TSK, how do you upload your GPS tracks to Google Maps ?

Well I did not upload my tracks to google maps.
I just surveyed the region imagery using google earth, created a kml, converted to gpx.
Then I loaded the GPX to the nonimapview which can download openstreetmap maps.
So along with the normal map, there was a red line which was my track.
Something like the first map pics in my map post

The bright red lines are the gpx trails my gps recorded.
Now noni can load any gpx. So before going I made some gpx trails by hand and loaded them along with the openstreetmap, and converted entire to OSM maps using noni.

Well Indizen, its much better. Just got of physiotherapy last week, and started the exercises. Will visit the ortho next week again.
