wow, never heard about the 2 hump camels forget about seeing one.

And good story about the 2 humps. LOL

Do they just take you for a camel ride or is it some area which is accessible by camels ?

Camel ride is on the dunes. Its possible to go in 4x4 but the area is restricted. Only camel wallas are allowed to take vehicles in this area. For others its 500rs fine.
Basically main hunder dune area is divided by a river. To the other side of river you cannot take your car, only camel wallas take their vehicles there.
However for 4x4 fun there are enough dunes and trails in the allowed area

Dune time

Camel fun done, I decided to do some Wadi Bashing.
As you can see I stuck to edge of dune as there was no recovery vehicle. Otherwise it would have been fun to try and go to the top of the dune

Roti, Kapda Aur Makaan

Kapda we were wearing, and The safari was a like a Makaan with so much luggage.
However Roti was missing.
Last meal was lousy maggi at Panamik, and atleast a Tea was required.
but no dhaba in sight? What to do.
Well fear now, Bawarchi is here

With the help of the umbrella and safari's shadow the fast winds were warded off, and it was time to have nice hot home made(well almost) tea!

After that it was time to cleanup and loiter around. We would head to diskit on the off road track as it was more scenic

The sky was clearning

As for us, it was dune crossing and track following time. It had rained quite a bit, and the track was wet, not to mention slippery

We reached before 7, and had wonderful chicken we had ordered earlier.
Our room was pure luxury. Big bathroom, nice hard mattress(great for my back), but room, and Airtel Dish TV. All for 500rs.

The views from hotel were okayish, I took one long exposure from the roof before clouds came in again

After that, it was time to watch some TV, and and enjoy junk reality shows which dot various channels.
Tell you what, TV after so many days is very entertaining.
Caught up on the news also. Stock market was rising, and while we were gone, the downturn was lessetning.
Though it had been a few days, it seemed we were out of touch for months!

Since tomorrow we would cross two passes, and do a real long drive, we decided to sleep early. Plan was to get out by 8am, see Gompa and be on the road to Tangste by 9am.

TO BE CONT................

Mind boggling stuff mate!

IMHO the latter rainbow pics are even better than the previous ones and the long exposure shot is amazing. Must have been tricky; I believe you timed it pretty well.

Awesome!

tsk1979, what do you think about driving through there? Is it safe in those hills? Do we get help if needed or are we left stranded? And again, nice looking photos.

I decided to move back in an attempt to capture the rainbow fully. Again no success. Its big huge
You forgot your Physics? You move back rainbow moves back as it is optical refraction from rays of sun reaching you. And your pics prove the second thing..total internal refraction. According to this the second rainbow has the colours reversed - and your pics prove it!!

Lovely pictures and description. Being moderator here you got away with that kinky description LOL
