All the elements of a successful commercial movie, in the offing. Make sure your travelogue is right protected Avi lest one of our dear Bollywood directors utilize them for their next venture starring one of the Khans, ala Dil Chahta Hai 2.

Thanks guys, been busy with many things even on a weekend so sorry about the slow progress.

We crossed Pandarpur and see the water levels on the old bridge is dangerously high and after crossing the bridge we stopped for some tea at a store. Here, we get a phone call from NaveenK.K who too was travelling to Goa with his friends but from the Karnataka route. He was already nearing Belgaum at around 8:30AM and here we were trudging along at a snails pace.

Enter town of Pandarpur was full of slush and sticky mud that painted the car brown. Here are some pictures at that instance.

We reached Miraj and stopped for some quick sumptious breakfast of Idli Wadas, Dosa and Pineapple Sheera. And, continued our journey towards Sangli and eager to
complete that stretch and reach NH4.
Enroute we saw a large Hanuman Statute which was pretty interesting as it was huge. We didnt stop to understand its significance. One of our friends worked for some
time in Kolhapur and he said, keep a look out for a huge mansion on left side which was the house of 'Star Ghutka" owner. And, within a few kilometers we saw this beautiful looking house on the left with large face made out of stone. We we slowly drove past and saw the following cars inside :-

Hummer
Bentley Continental Flying Spur
Lamborghini Diablo
A few Mercedes Benzs

Imagine all these exotics in the middle of some small village. Whew !!!

If you look close enough you will see some of the cars but couldn't get a closer look as the house was screened with lots of trees and plantation.

And, after this vehicular spectacle, we finally touched NH4 and from there on for about 40 kms it was pure bliss until we took the exit towards Ajra.

Following are some pictures of Ajra and Amboli Ghat section and this portion of the trip was one of the best drives you can ever ask for.

Perfect ingredients of a beautiful drive which included drizzle, thick mist and wet roads with lush greenery around.

These pictures are just before reaching the waterfalls at Ambholi ghat

Nice pics, Avi. The roads look so familiar near Amboli as our trip was so recent. I wish you'd taken a pic of the pineapple stuff you had for breakfast.

Human Phychology---When you reach dessert the hands become oily and you no longer seem as interested in photographing it either purely due to satiation or fear of spoiling your camera

Here are some more pictures of Amboli Ghat were we bumped into a group of pretty girls and some delicious authentic wada pav's which was a heady combination enjoyed by all of us.

We spotted a spider web hanging from a tree, it was so thin--had to put a hand behind it to even spot it

From Amboli on, the roads were quite good and we had a blast driving into Goa. We approximately got into Calangute area around 5:00pm in the evening.

We wanted to check into Osbourne but, another TBHP member NaveenK.K who reached a few hours earlier suggested another hotel which was just a few meters away from Baga.

So we first decided to check that out and headed straight there and found the room decent and more important about 50 feet away from Mambo's and 100 feet from the Baga beach.

They quoted Rs.1000/room but we negotiated it for Rs.800/room and took 2 rooms and decided to immediately shower, change and head out.

Here are some pictures of the place where we stayed

Luckily in bangalore, I got vada-pav everyday in our office canteen and it used to taste very well too.
