@milecruncher: thanks for the suggestions. i have more pics which i will include over the weekend along with notes on my return journey.
I was supposed to have taken the zen, but then because of some technical glitches i had to fall back on my maruti 800.

A very nice write-up.....Enjoyed reading it thoroughly. Brought back the my memories of a Go Goa trip I did recently on my 118 NE

Very nicely written Agatya.. Making a trip next month and could use some good eating recommendations while in Goa..

At the moment, this is what is running in my head
14th Mum-Goa Old Higway
20th Goa-Mum via Belgaum Kolhapur

Also, having read the best 50 routes in some earlier threads, inclined to work out short day/overnight trip on some of these routes.Dunno still figuring out :-)

Insights from an old hand on these sides, would be great inputs.
