@laluks - beautiful. It just amazing to see so much clarity in your pictures. I just love it. Only one question....Which lens you are using to take these shots

Laluks.. Brilliant photographs. DSLRs sure make pictures more beautiful. Ooty never ceases to impress me even though I keep visiting Ooty at regular intervals. Keep the photos coming..

Day 2, November 28th 2009

I woke up after a long sleep around 09:00AM. It has been a while since I had such a 12 hour sleep. I saw that I was alone in the room.

I lazily got out of the room, and this is what I saw from the balcony.

I could find my wife in the corridor.

Kids were missing, and then I find this
Swifted : Ooty-dsc_0407.jpg

On asking her what she was upto, she replies she was bored to the core so she is trying to see the world upside down for a new perspective. Oh my God, these kids!!!
Swifted : Ooty-dsc_0408.jpg

Kids unanimously told me let's get out and see around. There's nothing to do in the resort, they had already done it all. After all it was 10:00AM and it was only me who got up so late and was left wondering what next. The kids already had explored the resort for three hours by then.

My wife decided to take a break from me and the kids and agreed with the kids that they must see around. So it was me and my little power puff girls raiding Ooty today, while my wife relaxed with some ayurveda and some reading.

Day 2, November 28th 2009 Continued.

St. Stephens Church

Me and my power puff girls got out of the resort finally. Agenda take as it comes, go by the sign boards!!

The sun was shining bright unlike the previous foggy day

We reached St. Stephens Church which was below the resort by 11.00AM. This is the oldest Church in Nilgiris, built in 1892. John Sullivan, the founder of Ooty is cremated in the cemetry of this church. Huge wooden beams in the church are from the palace of Tipu sultan in Srirangapatna. Marble plaques on the wall and glass paintings are impressive.

After our discussions we decided to stick strictly within 5KM radius of the resort. Reason being, Mummy will also get bored and call us up to join our fun. But that was not to happen, she was enjoying her day alone at the resort

Day 2, November 28th 2009 Continued

Botanical Garden - Charring Cross

Botanical garden was nearby, we just drove there to reconfirm the roads. We did not go inside as we had already seen the place in April-May 2006. (I'll put up those photographs after completing this log.)

Then we went to the Sacred heart Cathedral nearby.

The fountain was earlier in front of St. Stephens church, if I were to believe some old artists pictures. They have moved it now to Charring Cross.
