Thank you everyone for enjoying the travelogue or rather the pictures..

@gooney: the drive one way upto tezpur is around 4hrs from guwahati and from tezpur to bomdila is around 5hrs but this sector is highly variable owing to numerous factors like landslides, army convoys, time at the check gate etc.

@saurabh: let me know if you want any specific info regarding Tipi and Nameri

So let me continue with it..

Day 2

We started out from the resort at Tipi towards Bomdila at around 8am. The road conditions improved quite a bit, there were no landslides and it was tarmac all the way. After a few photo stops and a puncture, we reached Bomdila at around noon.
I am posting some pictures because I believe its very hard to express the beauty of this place through words..

a beautiful sunrise..

Lovely sunrise pics. It would be good if you can mention the staying options at Tipi and Nameri. Like, how many hotels/resorts are there, whether advance booking is necessary, approx costs, etc. I have been planning a road trip to ArP for a long time, but have not been able to make it yet. Any information that you can share will be very helpful to me.

Thanks for the information Robi. Been planning to go to Arunachal for a long time, will try to make it this January when I am home (Guwahati).

OT- But are there many Bhp-ians in Guwahati? If there are, would definitely like to meet them end-January

@saurabh: staying options in Tipi is pretty limited. Two decent options being the Elephant Point retreat and the Kameng inn. Regarding the tariff it shouldn't be more than 1500 per night (twin sharing). Since November to March is the peak tourist season, advance booking is recommended.

@Gooney: Glad to know that you are from Guwahati. It would be great to meet fellow Bhpians from Guwahati but I am not sure as to how many TBhpians are there from Guwahati. In January, if you are planning to drive upto ArP esp. Tawang you will need a car with decent ground clearance.

What can I say, robi... I'm honoured! My photography pales in comparison to yours - yours are an inspiration for me to hone my own skills more. And Arunachal is a place I've longed to visit since my college days in Kolkata, and we have classmates there we still keep in touch with. Someday soon... For now, your travelogue will act as further incentive for us to plan a trip, and act as a temporary balm till then. Please do continue.
