| BHPian  | Trip to Ganpatipule on eve of my B'day Participants: Me, My wife, My Big brother, My sister in law, My nephew, Our parents, my sister-in laws Mom. Ride: One bull and other baby ( Esteem 2004 model and Zen estilo 2009 model ) It was our B’day and we planned out a trip to Ganpatepule. Writing “our” as me and my big brother were born on same date/month just 2 years difference. On 17th night we had cake cutting etc and received real cool gift, a one that I always wanted and was hunting for it. A car can cooler. This can cooler is of Tropicool, a pune based importer. After all the celebration we had to leave early morning so thought of taking a small nap. As soon as alarm rang I noticed that my clock was running one hour late  We Had planned to start at 5 am and I had kept alarm in my cell of 4 am but to my surprise when I looked at clock I found that my clock is running one hour late.Without thinking much I just asked my wife to just rush. We had already packed our luggage at night so was not much of issue. Packing everything we just rushed to big brothers place which is within 10 minutes. To our relief we found that they were also running late and busy in packing etc. Finally we were able to star from Pune at around 6 am, just took the highway from Hinjawari flyover. Rushing straight on NH4 thought of having our breakfast on the way, We had already got some paneer paranthas and Malpuas ( a regional sweet paranthas ). So we stopped at Borgaon and ordered 7 teas. After some time some more tease. Further continued the journey. We had thought of taking right turn just before Umbraj but just missed that so took a turn from Umbraj. The road and the view on the way was cool… the Ghats etc were just awesome. Up till Chiplun the road was real nice, after that we just connected to NH17. I tried searching for car power socket so that I could test my gift as my car did not had car power socket but to my sorrow were not able to find it. In my big brothers car it was running great and was being used for preparing milk for my nephew. The can cooler runs for both Hot and cold purpose and the results were also pretty decent till our return journey time as it failed to work on our way back  This had a year of warranty so they replaced it.From Chiplun we headed on NH17 and took one small T break on the way. Just before Hath khamba we took right turn and reached Ganpatipula. We had made our booking in Konkani huts of MTDC. We had taken up 3 huts and the view from them was also awesome. I think its enough of writing now its time to show off. Some things that you should not miss 1) The cross bay from ganpatipule to ratnagiri 2) Food at Krishanane resort Something to avoid 1) Food at MTDC ( real poor service). Order today get it next day.
