Whats the point if you undertake more trips but we dont get to here about it.
True. But then I will have to post all of them without captions etc. and it will be without the storyline and miss the very essence of what I intend to portray which might look something like this below:

For someone who has never had a camera but until 2 years ago, you bet has a lot to click. I am glad to share a secret to some of those shots: when I'm unable to check my viewfinder/preview, I try to visualise it in my mind, point the angle properly and shoot.

Great pictures of the real India.

As we roll into the year 2010, Indian railways has to come up with a system of sewage maganement rather than dump it on to the railway tracks.

Special Annexure

For the love of Trains, I am adding a Special Annexure related to Hyderabad.

Some taken yesterday, some in 2008.

There is a storage battery in between.

They think the tracks are garbage pallets. Trust me, we will never get to see a +ve change in our lifetimes, the way our country is like.

Actually, all diesel engines used for hauling Trains on Mainline do not have batteries. The 2 Stroke TC fuel-injected Diesel engine drives an alternator which is coupled to AC Traction motor which run a Bogie in pairs. More info on WDP4 can be found in [IRFCA] Indian Railways FAQ: Locomotives -- Specific classes : AC Electric

Nitpicking! The Slide 30 jpg actually is an electrical locomotive (WAP 4) and locomotive in slide 2 is actually the latest diesel locos acquired by IR from EMD (previously owned by GM). They are more powerful and efficient than earlier ALCO ones
