Puzzle - Plot the route

Hey guys,

Initially I thought of not writing anything in this message area but just leave the collage - as the cliche goes, pictures speak more than words - but I could not submit. This is a trip I, wifey and cutie did Oct 30-31, 2009. Trip odo was 816KM. Unsuccessful so far to sit at a stretch and write up our Xmas/NY travelogue, so thought why not this puzzle.

Order to go thru the pics: left to right, top to bottom.

The first snap - ECR. The second is the coffee shop on the beach at Pondy

Yep definitely ECR and mahabs. The white building is the row buildings near Arvind Ashram.

The bottom right is NH45 between Thozhuppedu & Acharapakkam. The first pic on the second row is of the Dune Hotel or the "Bungalow on the Beach".

Looks like you have stayed in Hotel Oriental Towers Thanjavur as well which could explain the stone scriptures.

I also suspect you have gone to Gingee as well. Let me know how correct I am in this quiz

Great going guys! ECR, Pondy, NH45, Oriental Towers @ Tanjore, Tanjore Big Temple scriptures, Bungalow-on-the-beach @ Tranquebar are all correct. 6 more to go!

No mahabs. No Gingee on the pics. You could add more as to where we ate, where we stayed and the route.

The bottom row middle snap seems to be that of tiruchi malaikottai.

Bottom left is Tanjore Raja's Palace. That is the main courtyard where he used to hold his Darbar and you probably shot it from the Bell Tower (Manikkoondu) nearby.

Got most of it right. The shot is not from the bell tower but from the Arsenal Tower - Koodagopuram (the temple-kind of structure)!

Awaiting answers for #3, 5, 6, 9.

Ok. #9 is within the Arsenal Tower and at the far end of the floor you can see the skeleton of a whale.

#5 & #6 are at the same place and so is the image that I am attaching now (the one with the "auto" - clue on it maybe!)

The other image I attach is related to the pic #3. My little Sparky is in there.

The image with the auto rickshaw - Nagapatinam. Just checked - TN 51 belongs there.

petrolhead - yes - RTO Nagai as well on the auto. This place is not exactly the Nagapattinam town. Its a famous place in the district. There is another hint in the snap.
