Lovely pics and narration, Ardy! I like the way you made miniscule pics.
I've spent 2 decades in Vizag and felt damn nostalgic seeing all those pics!.

Keep them coming!

Hey Ardy, thats a nice travelogue. The use of collage is also quite innovative and I liked it. Your travelogue has re-kindled the desire to visit Vizag and Borra Caves. May be soon!

Thanks guys.

I know some of the collage have a little more pictures than what they could have accomodated. Wanted my travelogue to be short and crisp. Wrote it in a word document first with all the pictures and then started the thread. For one, I am happy that the entire travelogue is in a single flow

It would be a great idea, but would suggest waiting for the later half of the year, probably Sept-Oct time frame to enjoy the beauty and cooler weather.

That's cool. I have lived in Vizag for my kindergarden, secondary and higher secondary. Life in Vizag would always be cheerished by everyone in my family. My Dad still wants to go back and settle down there.

The use of collages is a great idea to convey a total feel of the trip. Nice pics and sceneries.

Cheers,
Well, the bandh affected our trip in a positive sense. We could all leave together.

Seems like the travelogue section is taken over by hyd TBHPians. hehe...
Pictures are good. IMO pictures are too many in the collage to enjoy fully.
Your travelogue has come in time. Planning a trip to Annavaram next month. It seems there are decent accomodation options available??
Annavaram temple complex has some air conditioned accomodation. Though not in the best shape, but livable. The only issue is that they don't provide bedsheets / blankets to cover oneself. IIRC, they have 6 rooms and just below these rooms is the restuarant.

You should make a visit to the place, a pleasure trip. That's exactly what we did. We did not make any customary calls to old friends and relations; we just had a relaxed vacation. Had we done the customary calls / visits; we would have ended spending the entire time to visit people.

Cheers.

Nice travelogue Ardy, its always nice and nostalgic to visit a place you stayed there for a long time.
I would have preferred one pic at a place rather than a jumbled one.

Now coming to fuelling, it is always better doing the tankful a night before so that you save lots of time early morning (that is when you cover max distances in a long drive)

Beautiful pics combined in a crisp travelogue!
Liked the collages.
Never knew Vizag had such a beautiful coastline.

Thank you, Nazim.

My pictures would not be a match to your skills. Trying my best.

Some of the beaches are really good in Vizag, especially the ones which are not promoted or are not crowded, like Yarada that we went for.

Thanks, anurag_p80.

The blue waters are definitely great, however the water in the harbour is dirtiest thanks to oil and other discharges from the ships in harbour.

Thanks, Kutlee.

The clutch was replaced in my other car, Octavia.

This was not my first long drive on RS. Have done a couple of them earlier as well to Mumbai, Mahabaleswar, Allahabad. Will write a report on RS soon.

Cheers,

Nice trip there Ardy. Vizag always been a special place for me. What with camping there thrice during my N.C.C Navy days and also having won a seat in Gitams for MBA course ( but chose Pune over it).

Have some fond memories of doing a lot of naughty things on R.K beach
