We were walking through the street of the most expensive business place of kl i.e. KLCC area.
One left turn on we were facing kl Aquaria.
It seems that Malaysia has developed some places to compete with Singapore.
KL Aquaria and kl bird park are one of those places.

Its really cool, nice and clean at kl Aquaria.[ kl itself is clean city].

After purchasing rm 38 ticket, we entered the Aquaria.
We saw some fabulous under water creatures through the glass.
The underwater glass tunnel is good enough reason to visit this place.

some pics [ sorry for poor quality].

@Rotorhead-I think that's a PoP statue in golden color.

@Ashish - Did you ask for a shark feeding session? For a fees of RM 450 (I did it for that much) they allow you to go in the water to feed the shark - with a disclaimer of "at your own risk". It includes two day sessions - one day overview on swimming with O2 masks and swimming suits and precautionary measure in case sharks charge at you; how to save yourself and second day, its actual session. So, Saturday training and Sunday feeding session where in you go with small fish and meatloaf etc in the tank and throw it when the shark smells the meat - of course you dont do it the way you feed Roti to a Cow . You have to do it with caution. I heard it was closed for sometime at the end of last year. Could not take any photos here for obvious reasons.

Twin towers and TheCouple.

What a coincidence.
This is my 1000th post on team-bhp.

As earlier posted one year back, i will dedicate my 1000th post to TheCouple i.e. TheYeti and TheOne.

"I wish this lovely couple happy years knotted together like those twin towers."

After spending 1 hour at the place, we headed back to hotel by taxi.
It was time to relax, have shower, have some food, have some beverage, have some music, have some dance.
@10pm, we headed to beach club bar.
True to belief, it is transit point for professionals and not a music bar.
Danced like hell from 12 midnight to 3 am and returned back to hotel.[ done nothing more, nothing less].

End of log for 25/2/2010.

Next post, tomorrow morning.

How I wish the pics of the aquarium were little more clearer. Nevertheless, they are good!

Congrats on Senior-BHPian status Ashish!

Guys. Batu Malai Murugan is worth more than what you think.

Standing at 42.7 meter (140.09 ft) high, the world's tallest statue of Murugan, located outside Batu Caves has this quality. The statue, which cost approximately 2.4 crores rupees, is made of 1550 cubic metres of concrete, 250 tonnes of steel bars and 300 litres of gold paint brought in from neighboring Thailand.

@Babus. Didn't you climb the petronas and walk across the sky bridge?

Yes MX6 - it has Berjaya Hotel in the complex. And a multiplex and an amusement park and shopping mall.
Thanks for sharing some info on the statue. I have visited that place umpteen number of times, but didnt know this.

Babus were busy in spending time on Bukit Bintang and sky bridge may not have attracted them

Batu malai explodes in to fervent action during the festival called Thai Poosam. Whole of singapore as well goes for a major transformation during Thai poosam. A sight to be seen.

Story continues--
26th feb 2010--

After having good sleep, everyone was ready @9:45 am to go Genting highland.
We were already late for 2 hours.

For Genting, our original plan was to go to kl sentral by monorail and then to Genting by gogenting bus with golden package.
Due to late start, we took taxi and went to Puduraya bus terminal.
Found genting counter but the bus was full and the next bus was at 1:30pm.

Puduraya bus terminal

what next?

I immediately decided to pre-pone next day plan and planned to visit Putrajaya.
Our original plan for Putrajaya was go to kl sentral by monorail, take kl transit train to putrajaya, have taxi ride of 2 hours for Putrajaya,
come back to kl sentral by kl transit train, proceed to kl bird park by taxi.

We were looking for taxi and then one Indian origin taxi driver appeared.
He asked weather we are interested in taxi ride to Putrajaya.
He quoted price of 45 rm per person and agreed to drop us at kl bird park.
After quick calculations, i found it very reasonable and our journey started toward Putrajaya at 11 am.

Putrajaya is administrative capital of Malaysia @ 25 km away toward airport in south direction.

We were in 4 taxis.
It was very good decision to take taxi. We saved lot of time.

Some pics are taken from moving car.
