Ride to Lavasa Lake City

It was Saturday and i am as always lazy to wake up early morning. But still i manage to wake up after my friend called me early morning at 6. We had a plan to go to Lavasa City which is near Pune around 50 kms distance. I was not sure my friend would call me or not.

Plan was simple. Take out bikes & head straight towards Lavasa for a ride. We deliberately avoided the car as we wanted to enjoy the ride on bike after a long time. Heard that Lavasa City you can't enter without permission, At least bikes are not allowed. So we wanted to give it a try if possible. Also heard that road to Lavasa is very good.

So we (me & my friend on two Pulsars) started around 6:45. It was really good weather for ride. To my surprise it was quite cold also once we started heading to Lavasa. I didn't take any jacket or helmet with me to enjoy the ride

we had quick breakfast, tea at Pirangut & started off. Took left turn after Pirangut village & road to Lavasa started. It is single lane road but quite wide & in good shape. Much Better than Pune city roads ... Haha ... Courtesy to Politicians involved in Lavasa Project.

More to follow ...

We seen some weird thing to our left. It was blueish air hanging in at some height. I guess it was some fumes from a fire caught in morning fog. Not sure but. So we stopped there & had some photo session of that thing. It was looking good but.

Next stop is at Lavasa now ... Pics to follow.

Seems like a travelogue in a wrong section.

I drove up NDA areas and saw a cyclist practicing for the cycle race between mumbai and pune. He had all the protective gear that included a helmet.
I was so happy seeing that.
Bikers of pune should take inspiration from such things.

Not sure of the cycle race though, but at least in Bangalore I see folks biking to office with the full gear (well almost everything !)

Anyway, Aniketi's friend is wearing both the jacket and helmet (he's momentarily propped it on the bike handle bar).
Good friend.

He must have travelled by that autorikshaw. I ask Autorickshaw wallahs all kinds of things when I'm in their auto. How are rains in this part of the country? How are traffic snarls? Do you earn enough to have a decent living? Do your kids go to school?

With chennai auto drivers, I also ask them whether they've considered their career option as cricket scorers? Considering the fact that their auto meters run faster than IPL scoreboard!
