Really shocking,

You should have lodged a police complaint. However, as suggested by others, upload your review at these sites and complain to Kerala Tourism Dept.

The point is that most part public, get trapped as they are left with no choice but pay.
What would one do, if they lock the gate, start rude language and you have ladies in the traveling party.

Yes I do agree, its a big issue.

Those photos of the moths is horrific. They are everywhere. The kids and ladies would have had a horrific time there. As mentioned by others please update the incident in the all the travel portals.

Apart from all that, also ask a mod to edit the title by adding the resort's name. Would come up faster on Google search.

Is it the Agraharam Resorts ? Oh my God!! I was supposed to transfer money to their account today for booking a cottage and I saw this thread ....

Feel really bad about what you had to endure....

Very sad to note that you had such a bad experience there. Added to all the bad facilities, they even had the nerve to lock you inside their area. Too bad on their part.

Why not have a thread of black-listed resorts so that people can refer to that and avoid going there?

That's sad, looks like nothing is good in that resort.

As others suggested write to KTDC with the images/videos. We want to see their license cancelled.

Yes, it is indeed the Agraharam Resorts. Trust me, you would be better of canceling than ending up in that horrifying place.

The Videos and Photo's would say more than what I can say.

I have posted my review on the HolidayIQ.com. For some unknown reasons it is yet to appear there.

We were fooled by the reviews on HolidayIQ. I posted my review on May 2nd Night and yet to appear.

Very bad experience indeed. Deepak can you please put a link to their website. because when I did a search I found Agraharam Cottages, Thirunelli. Also the travel review on holiday IQ for Agraharam Cottages is surprisingly good. The last review is dated 20.04.2010 and states the resort as good. I smell something fishy about the review on Holiday IQ.

Edit : Tripadvisor review also states the resort as good. The latest review is on 01.03.2010

Deepak, its very shocking to read this thread !! I am shocked further with your easy-go attitude at that time. Whatever said and done, it was not fair to leave the place paying full and without making a noise. 'Closing the gate and calling the staff', comeone bro, we are not anymore in the 17th century ! You were not alone. A single person can bring down ruling parties, change rules of the place, spoil anyone's image, do any extend of things if ONE really WANTS TO.

You should (without fail) transfer the proof of pics and videos to the KTDC (if they have given the license to these bunch of cheaters). Write the experience openly at major travel review sites. Help others not to get into the same mess, also do your best to end their day-time robbery. Use this link Contact, KTDC, Kerala, India
