Recently I went nearly upto Thirunelveli on NH7. On the way itself there are some places called Thovalai, Muppanthal, Kaavalkinaru where you can spend any amount of time clicking photos

You did not stick to NH7, you went inside these areas to click . If this is the case - 2 days for you guys to reach here, I wish the memory cards to get over for still faster reach

I will put that one up in the other thread, you can see that at Thovalai & Kaavalkinaru, we didn't deviate at all. It was just in Muppanthal that we deviated a bit. And yes, new memory cards & a tele converter lens for my H5 are on the anvil.

It is a real tuff job to maintain all logs on a trip. Once I left for Goa and while leaving thought I would write a travelogue on this.

By the time I reached back home, I had forgotten half the things including the route

No wonder Hvkumar is a distinguished BHPian

A clarification on the route as some of my friends were confused a bit after Salem.

You have to be on NH7 after salem and continue on NH7 further for 20km to get the left turn to Rasipuram.

Immediately after Salem the NH7 has a flyover which curves right. Stick on the NH7, which curves to the right and go on. That right curving on the fly over was not mentioned in the log because, it is still NH7 and the small straight road ahead to Chennai is not NH7.

I had mentioned the distances in the log here.
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/1896064-post37.html

So from Salem if continue on NH7, as mentioned in the log, in another 20 km you would have got the left to Rasipuram. Rasipuram is on the left of NH7.

To clarify it all let me put in the map.

000.0 -- Salem
After 20km you get the left turn to rasipuram
020.3 -- Take Left Turn from NH7 to Rasipuram(4Km more)
At rasipuram you get the next turn, refer the map
023.8 -- Rasipuram, Take Right Turn to SH79
In a few kilometers you get the next turn, refer the map.
026.5 -- Take Right from SH79 Turn to SH95
Go further 18kms on SH95 and turn left to Kolli Hills road.
044.5 -- Take Left Turn from SH95 to Kolli Hills

Hope its clear now
