Day 10 Back from Hunder to Leh

Staying at Habib's guest house was a very enjoyable experience, i recommend this place to stay to every one who visits there. It is a big house in the middle of the dried river bed & the family stays with the guests. We had home food (Dinner & breakfast) & that too at very cheap rates.

When woke up in the morning we realised it one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. I would let the pictures do the talking.

Day 10, Back to Leh

After that we did some Double Hump camel riding, got some petrol from a manual filling pump in Diskit & headed to Panamic, Indias last village before Siachen.

PS : Spotted a IAF helicopter flying for Siachen.

Day 10 , Back to Leh!!!

After Panamic, our journey was more or less event less till Khardung where till now problem less CI 350 burnt 3 fuses in span of 3 kms & started to misfire.

We did, plug change, battery wiring check, new connections for battery, point check & change. FInally when nothing worked we opened the carb & after some cleaning & some black smoke while starting it came back to it senses & we reached Leh around 7. Crossed North Pulu at 4pm were very very late & reached Khardungla at 5:15 pm were told to rush as it was still snowing a little hence no pics.

Straight away went to the mechanic to find out what happened of 535 which was loaded from Drass.

I totally agree! If you really wanna experience this fact, take a ride in a local bus. Your nostrils will be bombarded with all kinds of smells.
