Garden of the Gods park:

There are some huge red rock formations at one place very close to Colorado Springs, and it was named as Garden of the Gods park. Admission is free.

Entering the park:

Spotted few people enjoying the park on a "segway" - a two wheel self-balancing electric vehicle.

Nice pics.

Is there a riding school nearby or option of exploring the area riding? In the first pic I can see a road sign of rider crossing the road.

That segway thing is interesting.

There might be some schools, which I am not sure. But what I noticed was there are some companies which provide the horse back ride for visitors for a fee. Its not like full fledged fast paced horse riding. Typically a guide will be riding the first horse, and rest of the people on horses will be following him. Just slow paced waking of horses.

Segway - is most popular way to explore especially in San Francisco city and also being used as a mode of transport for police within Atlanta airport. I see police using a cycle in Denver airport

@Idle - I remember watching several years ago Falcons or some other birds helping airport authorities to keep away from other birds entering into airport airspace. Are these Falcons also trained on the same ground & for the same purpose or something different?

I see all the places are very clean and well arranged. The red rock looks beautiful. That sure must be a great experience to climb it. Keep posting the pics!

I am not sure whether they are using at airports, but Falcon is a mascot for US Airforce from long time. And academy sports teams are called "Falcons". Airforce academy took special permission from US Fish & Wildlife Dept to captivate the falcons and to make them grow and train in certain aspects.

These are some awesome pics.

Are there any adventure tour operators who organise these rock climbing adventures? The climbing on the narrow width stone is scary.

BTW did you try your hand at it?

Yes, looks like there are some people who arrange the climbing gear for enthusiasts. I felt as scary as you

Day 2: As per the plan, for Day 2 we decided to visit Pikes Peak first, then Royal Gorge Bridge. While driving to Pikes Peak, came across one Mountain Cliff Dwellings & museum..decided to have a quick look.

The pics below are from Mountain Cliff Dwellings. These are the dwellings of native americans who used to live here long time back.
