The details and pics ended too soon... Was hoping to find out more about the places we missed visiting during our trip there.

The homestay looked cosy and comfortable.

Not being a localite, I am not really aware if the place is called Kakkabbe or just Kabbe,so please correct me if I am wrong. The hill in the background is what I know as Kabbe hill. Sorry don't know what thadiyandamol is.

I stayed in the deluxe rooms, not the cottage.

Superb review, Neel. Clear and complete with pics in detail. Love it! Would love to go there myself. As already said, will follow this thread, and plan a similar trip around it!

@ neel : Nice crisp write-up and pictures. Now I know which all places to visit during my next Coorg Trip. The home stay looks real nice. Do they have any presence in the virtual world ?

BTW, just noticed that you uploaded 4MP pictures directly. May be you would like to reduce the size a bit while uploading pictures next time.

P.S: What camera and software did you use for that panorama shot fromtop of the hill?

Wonderful pictures! Yes, even I wanted to know which camera were you using. I too prefer photos where object is on the side and the background still gets the attention. Lovely photos again.

The website of the home stay is in the post itself (post No 13)

I'm using a Nikon D5000 and for the panorama I used Microsoft ICE. To get the pics to the upload limit of 1 MB, I used CS4.

Riju, this is Kabbe and not Kakkabe. And no, thats not Tadiyandamol in the pic. This place is enroute to Kakkabe from Virajpet. You have to take a deviation from the road and Kabbe is about 8-10kms inside. This is out usual hangout place whenever we go to Coorg More: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/travel...lute-best.html

Not at all. It started with my telling him that the track was quite motorable. Thats when he said the there had been someone who was from Team BHP who had done something of the sort!

By the way, why is it called Thadiyandamol? Is there any reason?
In malayalam Thadiyandamol means fat man's daughter

Beautifull pictures. Is the weather there always like this or is the mist and the clouds there due to the monsoons?

What would you suggest that the best time to visit this place is? Does it get humid in monsoons?

Thanks
Regards
