Sure, will post them soon - would be a nice contrast being in BW and from ages ago.

Look forward to your Sibsagar travelogue - there are actually many places in Sibsagar of historical/cultural importance. The Shiv-sagar (which lends its name to the place) & the temple adjacent to it + palaces/monuments of the Ahom kings. If possible and time permits, do post some snaps from the ONGC colony there.

SB, here is fellow bhpians travelogue which features Upper Assam including Sibsagar. It was a kind of nostakgic for me as I used stay at Jorhat.

Hope you like it.

@Thanks, Joy. I am sure this would be a nostalgic read.

Here is one snap from our Kaziranga trip sometime in the early 1980s. Shows us watching the one-horned rhino of Kaziranga.

Pardon the poor quality as it was an old B/W snap, which I photographed using my cellphone camera (quicker than using a scanner).

I found more snaps, but they focus more on the tourists (us) than the place. :)

Thanks for sharing this classic image Supreme, that black & white era was special in so many ways.

And then the Burapahar road did not exist, we had to drive down a narrow road down below.
