Thanks for taking time out & creating this long awaited thread. Wish T-BHP servers could store EXIF info for photos.

We are sure that your images would be different & you will not post similar looking images unlike some travelogue posters. (Hope you get the hint about what is being referred).

What do those three red circles highlight? Irregular wear or something else?

Rudra Da,
I am stopping all work as of now. Will keep on hitting F5 till the thread gets refreshed with your exquisite collection! The ones posted so far are just brilliant. Loved the one of the Sonmarg slope! Old did you say? Age is all in the mind!

No, I shoot very little. That's because I take way too much time to take one picture (most of the time). My total RAW capture can't be more than 6GB this time.

Yes, it's kind of looked nice in between two giant walls.

Not much of any help sukiwa. There were times where I had to use multiple exposures for sky tones to manage.

Oops, this is a boomerang! Wanted to point out those 1mm buttons still intact after that drive.

Hello Rudra,

The pics are mind-blowing to say the least and your narration style is equally good. Really looking forward to the next update.

@Rudra: The first shot is amazing. So much that it looks like commercial, Maruti can use it to promote Gypsy.

My 1Ds Mark II doesn't allow me to shoot black and white. It's good in a way because black and white from digital camera looks a bit flat (for me). It could be due to tonal range limitations of digital cameras. It's nowhere close to 9 stops of film range. But I'm sure things are improving now.

Two shots from Kargil before entering. Both shot with EOS 1Ds MarkII.

Rudraji, i was asking for detail in a sense where you did something extra or different for a particular shot to make it turn out in a special way.

and maybe your favourite shots and what makes them favourite etc.

but of course its not possible for each and everything, i am sure so please dont bother much about it.

thanks

Now something that we all have been waiting for. Right from the guru himself. Sir, permission to use them solely for personal purpose as desktops requested.
Can you post some shots of the equipment used too?

Sir, how long we have to wait for your next installment. If you don't upload quickly, I have to buy a new Keyboard. Please, please spare me some expenses.

Since, I love photography, waiting with bated breadth to learn some concept of composition from you. This is a ideal learning curve for me.

Hi Rudra, I have seen & read most amazing travelogues here on TBhp but none ever so beautifully captured on Camera & that too with tech details there too. Awesome. But I must confess I did not read any of the post, not even your opening one. The first shot of Gypsy between those mountain black walls left me *readless* or say *speechless*.

Raab Rakha.
P.S.: Pls DO post each pic with tech details.

A Photolog from Rudara da...wonderful

I have not read many threads from the "OLD MAN" of the Team BHP except some long test drive thread from Jaipur to Mumbai. The pictures in that log motivated to look at pictures in a different way

Great pictures there Rudra da..

thanks for sharing..

Got up early morning for the Fasting and was hoping for new updates, but nonetheless, the two pics that you have posted made up for that. The 2nd one especially was really awesome.
