For the first time, we went to Dakhineshwar Temple on the morning of Mahalaya (7th Oct). It was a sudden plan at 1 am the previous night, and left home at 5 am in the morning. It was an awesome experience to offer Puja at the famous temple and see the tarpon (offer prayers for the fore-fathers). I will let the pictures speak for the rest...

Nice...been out of home and thus out of touch with my Bong roots for a long time. Kind of gets me back I guess!

Nice Pictures. Please let people know a little bit about the histroy and why this temple is so famous.
