continued

this was the first time ever I actually carried a printed copy of HVK's Log Book.

Immense thanks to HVK, as without that we would have not just been truly 'lostjaani'

Better and Better, your DrivoBlogs!
That was quite a drive on some real bad roads of the North East.
Tell us more about the incident with cops and other unpleasant social elements.
What is your assessment of the completion of the road widening of NH31 - the so-called East West Corridor?
From what I heard from you, looks like the Assam roads nowadays have traffic even in the nights, contrasting with the total no-movement situation a few years ago.

Going on a drive is something peaceful.

Having someone to give you company on such trips...Priceless!!

These are somethings which money could never buy

Add this lovely track in the end!!

I wish that I could express my reactions by way of posting pictures instead of words. But then if all of us were artistes who would appreciate art. Looking forward to more.

BTW met hvkumar yesterday and the satellite image of his put up by you confirms what I observed. He has become leaner (sounds impossible but it is true) than what he was during your travelogue together. I hope that his upcoming trip will restore his physique to previous levels.

Hey, that is quite a start, as expected. Was hearning about your travel stories with HVK from MX6 and how HVK called you "crazy" for driving too much or something like that!

That I guess is quite a compliment! And, while I loved each of your image more than the rest, I loved that HVK's image as tele navigator

AWESOME!

@btirthankar : Cool Cool presentation of your trip.

Please share details of how your Figo fared and behaved on the roadtrip. What was your FE/km.?

I especially liked the part where you mentioned the 60 pairs of shoes.

Will share a secret : Most women I know, who are good with their cars carry AT LEAST 2 additional pairs of shoes in the boot of their cars. This usually includes a practical set of footwear like walking shoes / floaters

Cheers

Brilliant pics and captions,
but please delete the photographs posted by you of the Farrakah Dam, photography of the dam isn't allowed IIRC.

May I? (My impressions are from Siliguri-Forbesgunj)
It is still incomplete. The construction company had leased our land for construction site and work and they have just left.

The stretch between Siliguri-Forbesaganj is almost complete and is better post Dalkola.

Post Forbesganj the work is pending thanks to numerous bridges en-route. I will up-date once it is through.

^I badly want to do SS 1600 but am backing out due to roads or the lack of it.

Whoa! Amazing photo-drivoblog!
So you took the Tufanganj border route to Guwahati? Haven't travelled on that stretch as yet.
How is it compared to the northern stretch that goes via Srirampur, Bongaigaon and Barpeta?

Good drive, some challenging roads and nice presentation. So did you go over that mound on the figo that your astra failed to cross?
