Chunchi Falls

Another getaway ..another motorcycle diary.
The place on the list was Chunchi falls. ~90KM from Bangalore via Kanakapura.
This place had been on my mind for quite a while. Strongly recommend this place for a quick weekend drive.

It was a very sunny day at Chunchi and the rocks made the place even hotter. Water levels were'nt great but wasnt too bad.
This trip could have been better during monsoon.

Make sure you tank up really well before doing this route coz there are'nt any bunks for miles after Kanakapura.

At one point we thought that getting there was not going to be easy with bunch of monkeys all along the way and no alternative path.
Thanks to a localite who took us thru an unexplored path.

And here we come .. a treat to our eye

We made it!!!

We couldnt get near the falls as it was on the other side and getting there was not easy.

Bath time.. and indeed one of the best baths.

This cliff veils the falls blocking the view until you get there.

When we went there during the month of Aug, there was hardly any water. Glad to see the falls coming alive.

I have doubt. The last snaps of the place that I visited near Mekedatu, is what folks were saying as Chunchi falls.

A better way to leave a mark would be to carve your names
This is the reason why most of the tourist places in India lose their charm. Every tom, dick and harry wants to leave their mark.

Nice pics Mohsin, you have a way with the camera ! Your narration is beautiful too !

One request to you & your friends - next time please leave out the breaking of the joints. its a tourist space & we all must respect Mother nature. Imagine some one visiting our house & breaking a tile ? Would any one of us like it ?
