Thanks sriswe some of the images you might have noticed in the museum a lady statue with a thin cloth covering her face this statue is better and far more superior in our own Salarjung museum.
I am not complaining about the museum in Paris but to say even our Salarjung collections are equally good.

Congrats for this trip!

PS: Charles de Gaulle is the worst place to land in Europe, specially for first timers. I'm sure you would have guessed this by now

PPS: Etihad and Emirates are really good airlines plus its much more comfortable to have a connecting flight here in Middle East than Europe itself. Really great that you took this flight rather than the usual Aerofloat or Air France which are cheap and nasty (no offense to anyone).

Great pictures and writeup. Look forward to hearing about your experiences in Germany as well.

Thank you for your comments goingout.
As you have pointed out Charles de Gaullein Paris is not that great as expected as some of our airports like in Hyderabad are new ones and look far better than the Paris airport.
We have to learn a few things from them regarding the transportation from the airport and tha way foreign travellers are taken care thou language is a problem.
When we landed at Paris the local train from the airport was not on tracks and we were guided to the bus station and to the nearest rail station to get into the city.We were given a printed slip at the ticket counters in English guiding us.

Day2
After our trip to the museum our next agenda was to move to Zurich To go to the Swiss alps. Our train was around 3pm.
As i carried a Eurail pass I had to validate my pass in the station.
I am posting the pictures of the station Gare De L Est.SNCF trains are France trains and ICE trains are of Germany.
I had a lot of fascination for these high speed trains and was eagerly awaiting the travel by these trains.
I had two dreams one going in these Euro trains and the next is travelling the Japanese trains.

DAY- 2
After we boarded the intercity express to Zurich it was a great experience.
The speed of the train was amazing and it was effortlessly cruising from 180km/hr to 250km/hr.
The landscape around was beautiful to watch.
The roads which were nearby just flew past and vehicles plying on the roads were no match for this speed of the train.
The restaurant in the train was good and neat and most of the young guys were hanging around there chit chating and enjoying their food.
The food trolley which came in the train was compact and yet could carry a lot of things.
I have attached the menu list if you see water is expensive.
Within 2hrs and 20mins we were in Strasbourg.
A short halt for 10mins and around 7.20pm we were in Zurich.
I had booked the hotel which was just about 5mins walk from the main station but on landing there a little bit of confusion and I was in opposite direction of the hotel keeping the google map in orientation the locals were very helpful and guided us to the hotel.
After checking in I quickly went to the bus station to know the location for our trip to Mount Titlis the next day.
It was 8.15pm and the streets were deserted could get some information from the bus stand and called it a day.

DAY-3
We were up in the morning and breakfast at the restaurant was good.
we walked to the bus station and were waiting in the bus.As usual a couple was late by 20mins but our guide was helpful and our driver said he can make up for the delay and did not take the detour.
As the bus was going through I realized if we were to take the detour I would have lost a great site of the countryside.
Our tour was through Luzern where we halted for 1 hour and then to Engelberg where the Mt.Titlis was located.

Awesome, fabulous, amazing & what next to write? Simply superb, I'm loving the pics & I'm feeling highly impatient to get there!!!

I hate trains, but I'm willing to make an exception on ICE & SNCF. What a beautiful mode for travelling. I wish you'd posted some pics on the outside scenic when travelling through train; through the glassed windows I mean.

The country sides are simply mind blowing. Germany is one of the country that I love, hope we could make it there sometime in our life time.

Thanks aargee for the comments. It is really an experience in these high speed trains.
Will try to post a video which is not that great because of the speed of the train.
What I have seen am posting so till the time you go to Germany keep enjoying these pictures.
These pictures are from the countryside from Zurich to Luzern on the way to Mt.Titlis

You wouldn't want to take all the trains of SNCF. But yes, TGV is an exception.

From my personal experience, I can tell you that Germany is a must visit place in Europe. Its unique in many ways, especially southern Germany.

Yeah I agree with A350XWB.Southern Germany is beautiful. The highways are similar as our four lane highways in India. I feel driving in our highways is fun than what I saw there it is only my personal opinion.
