What happened Doc?
Did you hit a poets wall?
What comes next?
We are waiting for your text!!

A little OT:
Is this the style of limrick?
It strikes the mind with a prick
The brain goes numb
You look a little dumb
And then face breaks in to a grin!!

That the road to Pathankot was better.

Thank you, Sami, sudev and w-o-w,
I'm happy to take a bow.
So glad I brought out the poets in you,
Poets on this forum are really far and few.

Been awfully busy today
Meeting deadlines all day
'Cause tomorrow I'm going away
On another holiday.
Where to now?
Lucknow!!!!

OMG, the virus is spreading like wildfire - You are turning petrol-heads into poets!
I wonder what would happen once the moderators get infected - shall we get infractions through poems then?

Udupi, Thimphu or Bikaner,

Amritsar over, am sure Lucknow will be also a rocker.

SS-T. Your poems were hilarious and made this log wonderful. But I forgot all of them the moment I saw the photo pathankot_dsc01685_k100.jpg. Nothing to beat that boss.

All the great poems in a book,
Don't stand a chance in front of a cook,
and their mouthwatering creations, when you look!!!

Was it cold in Pathankot?
Did you need to use your coat?
Or was it hot
Needing sweet lassi shot?

The mice come out to play
They know the Doc is away

No Ladakh, no Leh
No 4WD making its own way

Geography history and religion
So many heads wrappped in the turban

For the tourist the destination could be regulation
For the reader this travelogue is a revelation

The mind asks the eyes to let out a cry
As for the brain it was quite hard a try

for someone to write like this
needs more than just his simple wish

Having conquered the land of Chenab
The good Doctor moves to the land of Nawabs

Which did he relish more the Qorma or the Kebab
The episode is sure going to be Lajawaab

So come on Doc lay on the Rest
All of us await with unyielding Zest

Apologies for making you wait
Albeit not with bated breath.

Back at Pathankot, round we went
Around a track, straight and bent.
The kids had fun, we did too,
The failing light reduced the view.

Chatting with Jerry68, who's an old friend,
The evening too soon came to an end.
Dinner, ice-cream, laughter, fun and joy,
The full moon looked down and said, "Oh boy!"

Next morning it was time to drive back
Along the NH1, a diversion-riddled track.

Stopped for a single break at the Karnal Haveli
About the time the sun went into the earth's belly.
The ambience was nice, reproducing rural culture,
But that I suppose delayed our departure.

^ Thanks Rahul, there will surely be a next time for the chicken & fish!
Don't expect me to keep away for ever from either dish.

Doc that picture of pasta
at Haveli on Karnal rasta
Is not usual rural fare
but this is not a complaint or dare
your gift from land of five rivers
is unique about travel without fear
