No updates yet on the stay and other details?
At least share the home stay and other hotel details, if you are not able to share entire travel details.

Hi Nikhil,

What a trip. One of my dream routes. I dont believe how you managed to cover so many places in such a short time. Needs lot of energy.

5 star to the Travelogue too.

Regards,
Raghu Lakshman

Thanks for the rating Raghu. Glad you liked it. Infact, it was quite a relaxed trip with stopovers at all major places.

Re: Southern Odyssey : 5000 kms through South India

Fantastic log. Loved every posting in this thread. Had a great time reading through it as you may have had actually traveling.

Apart from the last leg (Bangalore-Mumbai), you took almost the exact same path me and 4 of my friends took, way back in 1994. It was a completely unplanned trip to explore 'South India'...we used trains, buses, tongas, tempos, bullock carts, even bicycles all around the southern peninsula over 27 days and returned rich with the experience! The only notable difference between your trip and mine was that after Bangalore we diverted to Mangalore and then came up on the Konkan line via Udipi-Kundapur-Murdeshwar-Goa and back to Pune.

I thank you again for all the photos and information. And I blame you now for forcing me stuck into a nostalic loop for the next few days Jiyo!
