I once found a set of used Toyos for my friend's 800.
The Fast&Furious , 2f2f, NFS:Underground ,etc.. just hypes this brand a LOTT! But, i haven't seen a new set of Toyo on anyone's car ...even at drag races.

i havent really seen them in india but in the US its very popular.have seen them on a couple of cars as well as pick up trucks.

but why do you want toyo.there are many other brands which will be just as good in performance if not better and at a lower price too.

Hi,

Ive driven on Toyo tyres in my friends older generation Accord for a good 500kms in the US. They felt very good and handled well. They have started coming into Mumbai in small lots.

Like Falken etc these tyres are good only not known or heard of by the majority hence not popular. IMO in India most people only buy or think that what they see is the best e.g. Bridgestone, Goodyear, Michellin, Falken etc . They have not had an opportunity to try out other brands due to availability and hence the bias. I think in a few years almost all international brands will be available here.

I have Toyo Proxes performance tires on the Toyota Solara(SE Sport V6 Model) as factory standard fitment.
They are excellent..very very nice.good handling/no screeching even at high speed turns..but the life of Performance tires are lesser than of normal All-Season Radials..
I think all-season radials life is around 30,000miles,while performance tires average life is around 20,000miles.
Never seen/experienced Toyo tires in India yet..buy them if you get at a good price..they surely are good..

Default Happening.

Hey Toyo tires, Nitto tires, Hankook etc are really happening in US.
The are competing hard to be the best in the Tuner scene.
Therez is constant review and product launch for these brands since they are trying to be unlease the latest technology.
When a new model is introduced they setup a launch where in test drivers, tuners and customers are brought in and given a chance to drive the cars with their brand and competitiors products. (Do wat u want style)
They are sometimes preffered over Michelin and Bridgestone ova there by the tuner society dude to the price vs performance facts...
Amd they have huge R&D and Investments and warranties... its no joke for them.

A friend's vtec runs on Toyos. Ultra low profile (dont remember whether it was a 16" or 17") grip was awsome but the ride quality was like a bullock cart! I was told the rubbers were soft and were very sensitive to wheel alignment and balancing. One small mistake and the tires start wearing out very rapidly.
