Goodyear which model? Also check the year of manufacture, if its more than 6 months old try avoiding it. I have Goodyear Eagle Ventura and am at 36k kms with just 4 tire rotation and another 5k kms before tire wear indicator glows

Not sure, but it was something like GT7xx, with normal tread pattern, I mean not the unidirectional sports type!

Are the ES100 tyres still in production ? Seen quite a few tyre upgrades recently with the same tyres.

Alloys for Swift. Budget of 20K.

I need a nice set of Rims for a Swift VXi. I know there are alot of similar thead but this is a very particular request from a friend, so that is why there is a new thread.

Anyways, here is the criteria.

They need to be in either 15's for stock tires, or 16's in which case, Tires will be changed.

They need to be Either White, Golden or Black full or black with chrome lip.

They need to be within a 20 K budget.

They cannot be multi PCD.

Please give me some quick links and suggestions.

Thanks.

Turanza upgrade for swift

I have booked a VDI(ABS) , and am planning to upgrade to 185/70/R14 Bridgestone Turanza ER60 on the stock rims.

Anyone using them on their swift, please provide a feedback.

I initially planned on the XM1+, but since I plan to my car extensively on long drives where stretches of road may be bad, I'm hesitant to use the XM1+.

sdp1975,
In that case go for Yokohama A-Drives in that size. I guess they'd be better than the ER60.

20k is for 4 alloys or 5 ?

With that budget, Lensos might be out of reach. Best bet would be HR/Plati. You are better off searching the "Show off tyre/alloy" thread

Stock tires on the Swift are 14". So regardless of whether he's going for 15 or 16, he will need change of tires.

They need to be Either White, Golden or Black full or black with chrome lip.

Lenso has some good designs in white. But I dont think 5 Lenso 15"s will fit into a budget of 20K. As for black or black chrome, there are plenty of good designs in the market.

They need to be within a 20 K budget.

Look for the following 5 brands (just my suggestion). Indian - Neo/Aura. Foreign - HR/Yongle/Freeman. Dont think any other brand will fit 5 15"s into that budget.

Better of with Aura, good range. Blacks generally get hidden with the tire colour , thought look excellent on display.
Will not coment on white or golden!
Go for the R 14's but with a slight wider & better rubber ( you will get a matching PCD too), Stock tires suck on the swift (especially the 165's)!
Stick to 4 rims, the best rims & Tires go in the boot & not an additional of Rs. 6K to 10K!

As all are saying Swift comes with 14" rims. Why don't you check out this available in our classifieds section:

AURA , HR , PLATI can be fitted in the budget., i agree Lensos would be on a little higher scale..
but if need to change the tyres + alloys definetly would be upto 35 easily.

My small suggestion.. I totally respect the budget constraint, but if little flexibility is there on budget - Alloys + good tyres make a complete makeover and change the looks of the car , Spend a little more on alloys + tyres also and u can have a excellent makeover for your car.

Dont worry about the XM1+. It has proven itself in the Indian market time and again. You will get a much much betterride over the Bridgestones. It is totally worth the extra money.
