I got a quote of 3k each for the AVS ES100s from Auto Fusion in Koramangala. Dunno if it was off the top of his head or otherwise.
Iyengar Tyre Hospital (over the phone) did say 3300/- for those. Hows that place ? He was hardselling Michelin Precadas tho - at 3950/- a pop! 3 yrs warranty tho - not sure what it covers. Treadwear ?

JC roads have loads of shops, as in dealers and distributors, go to them and do some good bargaining, one lesson i learnt was never to agree for "this is the best deal anyone can give you" WRONG, ask around bear that sun lil longer and you will get a better deal.

accesorry shop guys will have good contacts and when you buy other stuff along with tyres you can further bargain and reach at a better deal, please bear in mind that someone who can fix the tyre along with purchase is better coz you can strike a deal for tyre fitments and balancing also from them

start with piece rate>bargain>arrive at a figure>again haggle for additional discount on the total amount

really will test your patience, trust me and yes some guys do recognize team bhp name in bangalore and use it your advantage

Thanks for that Jaggu.REally informative for people buying tires for the first time!

What do you guys think would be the best deal for the ES-100.
I have a set of 5 Aura 5spoke alloys along with a set of 5 S248 in 165/80/13.How much would i get for the alloys which are in great condition as well as the tires,3 of which have some decent tread left?

Anyone know any shop for Michelin in bangalore?

I know of the bridgestone performance shop at new BEL road. Shiva tyres. In JC road i tried bargaining then finally I found these guys rates were lesser than the JC road after bargaining. He had all the equipment for removing tyres of alloys for filling nitrogen and alignment and balancing.

A very nice chap as well. his name is Mr. Grover (owner).

SO basically shiva tires stocks only bridgestone or do they have yokohoma too.
Can you give a ballpark figure of what you paid for you tires vs the original price

The problem is claiming that warranty.A very very big headache.Any problem with the tire will be blamed on our driving,..roads etc etc.
Whats the point in warranty then?

I bought 195/60R14 tubeless Goodyear Ducaro GA for 2800 per piece including the pin. He sells closer to wholesale prices. And the same tire else where would have costed 3500 per piece.

If you come down the lalbagh road -> after MTR -> take the road that goes towards lalbagh west gate(cauvery petrol bunk) and NOT the one that goes to Minerva circle -> once you are headed that way (its one way).. the first tyre shop on the right hand side is the one (sorry i forgot the name of the shop)..

But its a good deal.. and mind it he doesnot buyback your used tires but will help you sell thru known guys..

and his rates not vary quite immediately ....
