post price details, at the least

Hi Folks,

Those of you who post the new alloy / tyres images, please post the price information at the least along with your initial post.

Almost every new entry here is without the price information followed by a few posts asking for the price.

Regards,

hi trrk,
I read the very first post of this thread. I would however not like put up the price of the rims on the public forum for personal reasons.

The tires cost me 20.5k for a set of four.

I did not mean that the price has to be put up no matter what!

You could just say what you have mentioned above. Not everybody would like to put up costs for various reasons. But if it is mentioned here, that would avoid putting up 'what is the cost' messages.

Thanks.

I have few straight forward questions:

1) If default Tyre size is 145/70R12

2) Which upgrade is better, 145/80R12 or 155/70R12?
One has more height & other has more width.

3)145/70R12, means side walls will be 70% of 155 i.e. 101.5
155/70R12, means side walls will be 70% of 155 i.e. 108.5
145/80R12, means side walls will be 80% of 145 i.e. 116

Are these differences huge? If I see, upgrade to 155/70R12 also gives me more side walls. However upgrade to 145/80R12 gives me only side walls!

Is 155/70R12 a better deal than 145/80R12?

4) What are specific pros & cons of these upgrades on Steel Rims/Alloy Rims for a 800cc car?

5) What are specific pros & cons on each of Tyre size considering profile upgrade, width upgrade, grip, power, fuel economy, possible changes to suspension, accelerated wear & tear, etc.

It would be huge help if these are answered as it can make a buy very clear. Also tyres are once which take all the beating of the road. Also its 1st step to safety.

Bangalore or rather Indians roads have drastic variety hence tyre should be ALL ROUNDER
- Roads with
- HUGE pot holes
- Dirt Roads
- High Speed highways, easy to touch top speeds
- Indians are big family with big luggage, hence load capacity :-)
- Heavy rains & roads flooded with rain/drain waters

Imported tyres & tyres mainly designed for Non-Indian roads may not be aware of our conditions.

I have few more questions, but will hold it as it will make things complex :-S

Thanks.

I paid Rs.13K for the set of wheels (6.0 J R 15), shod them with 195/55 R 15, Pirelli P7s and fitted them onto the car. Here are the pics.
Hi you must be lucky to get those linea wheels for 13k, rare onesl and very good looking ones.

@ devrajman
Please start a thread and ask this question there as this a thread dedicated to post pictures of memebers alloy wheels and this would be off topic ! That way even the experts would be able to do more justice for your querry.

Black and Silver finish is a lethal combination for any color car. Great choice

Pics of my Swift.

Alloys: X2 14"
Tyres: Michelin XM1+ 185/70/R14

Personally did not want multi-PCD rims. But since I had already changed the tyres, there were not many options in 14" size.

But after installation, I am liking them.

don't go by the look when the car is stationary, ask some one to drive your car and see how they look when moving. i liked them.

how much did you pay for the dzire grill ?
one small suggestion remove that bumper and side protectors.

Thanks for the suggestions Karan

Dzire grill costed me Approx Rs.1430/- from Maruti Authorised S.S. It comes in six parts. Grill, Monogram, 4 different chrome stripes (even those four have different prices).
