Need help guys,

I have a Year old Swift Ldi, clocked 12k on odo. I am looking to get good alloys for my ride now. Can you please suggest the type of rims to look for? I am not so clear about PCD etc. It would be great if you can list down the specs i should look for while hunting for alloys.

Also Bangalore guys, pls suggest some place where i can get a good deal.

Hey mac from what I know you have loads of options for Swift when it comes to mods and Alloys in itself has an amazing varieties as Swift chassis can house huge Rims.
It all depends on the kind of budget you have. I am no expert but over the years I have got to know some who are. PM me in case you need help in sourcing Alloys, will surely do my best.

Taj Bhaijaan, try to fill out the space between the wheel arches. It will look even better. Have you checked the tyre specs ?

wow! white and white reminds me of Once upon a time in mumbai! well in cochin you can certainly keep it clean ans shining. I too had a white fiesta though the older model. have a dark tint on the windshields. it will transform the looks and give it a fuller bigger feel will really look like a pegasus.

wish there was less space between tyre and wheel wells. maybe it will be better when the car is loaded.

Taj

Nice set of wheels. But I was told the Lensos don't come in Fiesta's PCD. Was some adjustment made?

Hi All,
I have a query related to alloy wheels:

How to ensure that we get alloys that are lighter than the originals? Is weight of the alloy wheel mentioned as part of the specs sheet? Do you compare with the weight of the original wheel/rim. OR we just believe that since it is alloy, it would be lighter.

Regards,

JLS

You can check as the weight of the alloys are written on the packaging box usually. I cannot comment though how it would compare to the OE Steel rims in weight.

Hi all

I got alloys and tyres upgraded the day i bought my swift vdi .

Alloys make : HRS 15 inches . 6.5 J width , bought from sai mag wheels . Colour is Hyper Silver .

Tyres : Micheln Primcy LC 195 60 R 15 , these tyres are worth every penny . They are grippy , make no noise at all and gives maxxxx comfort .

Here goes the picture

What's the cost Safari_Beast of the tires and the wheels separately please.

As I queried on your review thread let me ask other members too. Would up sizing a swift zxi's wheels+tires from stock 185/70R14 to 195/60R15 have an adverse effect on the overall ride and make the ride bumpier for the rear seat passenger?

I have my eye on a set of Aura wheels and Michelin LC but the above concern regarding deteriorated ride at the rear is holding me back.

Here you go

Alloys cost : 15500 ( 4 Alloys ) i find these expensive but sai mag wheel owner from where i bought the alloys , he told me its lifetime structure warranty .
Tyres cost : 20000 ( 4 tyres )

Coming to ride quality go for 195 60 R15 its world of comfort plus performance . I didnt feel any difference in ride quality . Comfort depends on tyres which opt for and also profile .

195 60 R15 is the correct upsize as recommended by tyre gurus on teambhp .

@ Safari_Beast

Thanks for the detailed information. As for the upsize that it is correct there is no doubt regarding that. It is the quality of ride after the change that worries me. However your response in the other thread along with the experience of your friend has helped to dispel the doubts. Let us see what other members with similar upgrades have to say regarding the rear bench ride quality.

Thank you once again.
