Re: The official alloy wheel show-off thread. Lets see your rims!

What would be the best place to get company alloy wheels for a hyundai grand i10 in Gurgaon?

dealership quoting 9k per alloy that comes on the top varient which is way too high.

Apologies for the image quality. Both images ripped off OLX.

But basically, I've been planning to add alloys to my Gypsy, and I was wondering which of these two alloys would look better.

I kind of prefer the first ones, but to each his own.

Upsized my Rapid to 16" Momo Revenge Evo!!

Got them from WautoPro in Chennai. Must say they are the best wheel and tyre store I have ever been to at Chennai! Was impressed when they installed hub centric rings even when I myself had forgotten to ask for them.

How is the performance of the Falken tyres. My experience wasn’t that great when I changed to Falken for my Figo. On installation they were good but they became hard and noisy soon after.

I've used the tyres for about 1k kms so far. Grip-wise they have been pretty great on both wet & dry so far & couldnt figure out much of a difference with the preceding set of Conti MC5's. I wouldn't be worried much about noise as i rarely drive alone w/o music. Given the price & grip levels, i find these tyres to be a great VFM product.

My Jazz cvt with Honda City oem alloys and Continental CC5 175/65 R15

I did not want to fiddle with the offset and width, settled with oem alloys itself, completed 20k kms in a year

Did you have to install hub rings with these alloys?

No, its 5.5J and works flawlessly with 175-195 section tires. These alloys come with Honda city and I purchased from dealer itself (from their spare part department) . Initially I had installed Neo, did not like them and sold them off , later I did not take any risk and went with OEM specs alloys itself. I was preferring 4 hole design, most of the after market ones were multi pcd with 8 holes. Another good thing with oem alloys is that in case of damage we can get hold of a single piece even after 5 years.

I liked Liva's multi spoke design much more. Even though the specs match, there is a slight 1mm buldge near the center and we cannot use it on Honda's. In the Honda dealership, one fellow is using Ciaz multi spoke alloys on his city. You should try OZ sparco pista( 6.5J ) if it fits your budget. Dont exceed 6J if you plan to use 175 section tires. Momo has 3 models with 6J and HRS also has few options

Thank you for the information.
There is a very clean look which only OEM wheels can provide, apart from the hassles of hub rings/ vibrations/ locking nuts.
How much did they cost you at Honda? And any reason for not buying the 16inch alloys of the vx/zx variants?

Around 6300 per alloy wheel and I ordered the valve stems from Honda itself. It's much cheaper than outside shops. I ordered hub caps from Ali Express. You can reuse the same nuts. If you call dealer and ask they will tell you 9 k per wheel which includes hub caps and lug nuts. Dont buy Honda plastic hub caps from them for 1600 a piece. You can get 4 caps for 10 dollars

16 inch will make the ride rough and I will lose initial pick up in my CVT variant. Jazz suspension is hard and I find even 15 inch is an overkill for Indian roads. My uncle's jazz has 175/70 r14 and the ride is much more comfortable. May be next time I will change to 185/70 r14
