Have you tried Hercules tyres in Seshadripuram ? These guys if I'm correct, are dealers of Momo wheels. I had spoken to them when I was on the look out for a set for my car.

Here’s an official entry of my Ford Fiesta, I bought a couple of months back with the intent of restoring a cult n classic car. Have replaced a couple of functional. Here are pictures of the alloy wheels ( 15 inch from the all new fiesta ) and Continental tyres ( 195/55 15 ). I changed all 5 wheels and tyres.

I got the Alloys from Delhi, from SaiMagWheels. I traded off my tyres at Ashoka wheels Hyderabad in Minister road. As I have not gone beyond 100 KMs on my original set of tyres, I got a very good deal for them. I also got the brake calipers and brake drums painted in red from them. Overall I was satisfied with their service.

Ride Quality is pretty okay. Moreover my speed is 30 - 40 in the city, and we have my new born baby so I really have to drive carefully.

On the National highway it runs fantastic.

Unlikely. Although many people comment on improved grip and traction that is mostly because they compare their new wheels with the rubber that came from the factory which as well all know is usually economy grade low rolling resistance and hard wearing type. Improved grip can easily be achieved by opting for the right tyre compound. 235 width tyres on a Sonet is going to exceed the mechanical grip levels that the chassis can offer. Not to mention the added weight in rotating unsprung mass will put undue stress on the suspension, suspension mounting points on the chassis, and steering components all of which will suffer premature wear. That said they do look nice and perhaps another advantage apart from looks is that the car won't beach itself because of an uncovered manhole?

Greetings Bro. I would humbly accept your decision as far as the overkill part is concerned.

Sir, i have noticed some weight distribution issues with my ride. I had driven my car on stock wheels (M brand) 215 60 R16. I was feeling that my car was bouncing while applying sudden brakes at 30 -40 kmph. Back tyre grip is very important for stability and contribution of atleast 40% of the total braking. We know this as i am an Insurance Risk Analyst.

Thats the reason why i selected 235 size. Now the bouncing issues is completely gone. This is only my personal experience. Grip is a bit too much for the car. But i am driving slowly as i have a new born child with me in my ride. I am now comfortable but still have some weight distribution issues.

When i fitted my new tyres, the front tyres have a blue line which was completely erased after 3 kms but the rear wheels have that blue line which is still intact even after 200 kms of riding. Strange. I showed this to my local car dealer and informed me that front wheel drive cars have more load on the front tyres (engine weight etc).

I even took photos of this.
