i like the rims, they suite the overall proportion of the car.. how about lowering it a little? btw hows the ride quality, have the doors started to rattle?

I upsized my Lancer to 15" rims and Michelin tyres today.
Wheel : 15", HiJoin Racing H412
Tyres : Michelin 195/60R15 MXV8

Initially planned for 205/55R15 but Michelin has discontinued this in MXV8 range.
Lancer_rit, did you choose the wheels from the catalog or did Ashwin have them in his stock, he was mentioning you when I visited him.

What did you get back for your old tyres?

Nice set of wheels audiophile, good deal, where did you buy them from?
Are the tyres also new? If yes, please post prices.
Thanks.

He had those wheels on display in his shop. I tried to check some other models from the catalog - but either the distributer did not have them in stock or the offset was 35 and not 40. Please note Lancer GLXi stock offset is 46. So, a 40 is kind of good for 195 size tyres..
For my old tyres and wheels, the wheels were in pretty good shape - i should have talked to the local puncture/repair shop for a good price. Someone at his shop gave me about 800 or so for them (the tyres were 5 years old though had some tread depth for another 10k) - frankly I got exhausted with all the searching around in JC road etc etc for wheels and tyres, and wanted to conclude the deal.
Now, I have driven 1.5k km and love the setup. Noise is much less, comfort is pretty good (even with lower sidewall), cornering is much improved and braking is better (I needed it last weekend in the trip to Kudremukh when an idiot 3 wheeler just decided to take a U-turn on NH48 from a stand still off the road at 10kmph and didn't stop inspite of honking) - so pretty happy at the moment. Also, the front does not fall off tall BLR speedbreakers as abruptly as with the high profile stock tyres.
The only issue I have is that when brakes are on (either handbrake or the foot one), and I turn the steering wheel signficantly, there is some noise from the rear suspension/wheel setup.) Lancer A.S.S. says that it could be because of larger wheels (15" to 13") and there is no adjustment to be made, as normally there is no tyre contact with any part of the wheel well or suspension..
Regards,

Thnx @VJ MAVRICK, it was not the price that mattered, its really difficult to get lenso alloys for a 108PCD. Im still searching for more designs to upgrade maybe to 16".

Lenso designs are a class apart and yea i agree that they are difficult to acquire and keep us posted for any such upgrades.
