I would say that it's the colour combination but the design of the alloyr isn't bad either !

Finally purchased my i10 AT yesterday (monday). I had the HR alloys and yokohama tyres fitted in my i10 AT today.

Thanks Nitrous for helping me out and directing me to Deepak@tyrestore, he made the buying experience a great one.

I will write a detailed ownership report very soon.

I have put 175x60xR14 as the dealer did not recommend 175x65XR14, i was not sure about putting in 185x60xR14.

The HR alloy wheels seems to pop-out a little out of the body, i liked it and did not give much thought to it and bought it. Now i am concerned if it will impact the manevorability and stability or performance of the vehicle. please let me know.

Ride is good though it is a bit stiff, is it because of low profile or the popping out.

pics attached below, please share your views.

Congrats ikoneer on acquiring your very own i10 A/T.
IMO you could have put in 185/60R14 tires - I am using them myself.
Don't mind the wheels sticking out - they do not adversely affect driving/maneuverability in any way. The only negative is that you shall get more than your average share of muddy spray in monsoons on the body (we can always install a wider mudflap for that).
So Don't worry - enjoy your car.
Also, have you started an ownership thread yet?

Congrats Ikoneer or is it i10er!
Vehicle looks butch and superb. Good choice on the wheel design and the tyre.
The "popping out" is nothing but slightly negative offset on the rim design. It is present in almost all aftermarket alloy rims with some being even more extreme.
It only improves the handling characteristics by a bit due to the wider track of the vehicle.
So, enjoy!

Nice looking alloys, Congrats. Why don't you paint the front calipers and rear drum in red? How much you paid for alloys and yokos?

Thanks blackasta, that's very comforting to hear.
I was not much sure on the 185 size hence went with the 175.
Will write up a ownership experience very soon.

Thanks gaddiwale. Good idea, let me check.
Alloys came to about 3450 / alloy and 3200/tyre. Dealer did not give any cash discount but did alignment, balancing + nitrogen + wheel spanner. he took my stock wheels for 2000/wheel.

@ikoneer: The car looks so much macho with the new upgrade. It does give the car a better stance with a more planted look. Congrats !

Looks fantastic Ikoneer. Really gives the car a different and more manly look I love when the tire sticks out of the body a bit.

I may be going for a similar setup soon but probably with 185's.

Just wondering, is 2000 a fair buyback or should we expect some more for the i10's stock wheels?
