Upgraded from 175 to 195/65 R15. Yokohama A-drives. Paid 4400 for 4 in exchange
Alloys : upgraded from 14inch wheels to 15inch HRS alloys. Paid around Rs 14.75k

Love the look. Speedo error has come down. A true 80km/h on GPS is just 82 indicated as against 85 earlier.

The car has run 1510km and inspite of wider tyres, she is doing well on fuel.
1st fill up : 12.1
2nd fill up : 12.5
3rd fill up : 13.4

These are as per current odo reading which is under-reading by 3% as compared to a stock i20

My Punto has the same alloys in 14". looks great on the i20

Hey Bunny Punia,
Those alloys have excellent compatibility with the i20. Look superb. I thought i had heard your name before. One quick look at your profile & my memory got back to speed

re: The official alloy wheel show-off thread. Lets see your rims!

Sridhar,

The alloys look macho on the Manza. Would the cost be different if taken directly from Tata?

You got a good bargain I guess.

re: The official alloy wheel show-off thread. Lets see your rims!

I plan to replace the steel wheels to Alloys in my Honda Jazz. I am planning to retain the stock tyres (175/65 - 15) for some more time. What is the wheel size, PCD, Offset that I can go far? Honda is quoting 24K for 4 wheels, while it looks like I could get 5 wheels for about 22K after market for brands like HRS. Please advice! Also suggest me of good places to do this conversion in Chennai. Thanks in advance!

re: The official alloy wheel show-off thread. Lets see your rims!

@altius
the price Honda or your dealer is quoting is actually pretty high as those OE alloy wheels are worth 10k, at the max 15k.
i got the OE alloy wheels and the parcel tray for 10k from my dealer as a part of the select kit.
drop in a mail to Honda asking them to try and make the kit available for you, no harm in giving it a go as it is really worth the money spent and look pretty good.
otherwise it is better spending the money on aftermarket alloys with a varied amount of choice.

re: The official alloy wheel show-off thread. Lets see your rims!

Ghodlur: Thanks. Have been trying to get the prices of the Elan alloys from Tata dealers without much luck, but they had quoted Rs. 4.5K per wheel for the earlier Manza OE alloys. So 15K for a set of 4 is a good bargain.

Altius: Lal at Llyods road is a good place or you may check the Chennai subsection of the tbhp directory for other options.

re: The official alloy wheel show-off thread. Lets see your rims!

@superboy44, thank you very much for your input. I will give it a try. I suppose you got the select kit when you bought the car. Mine is a used Jazz that I bought less than 2 weeks back. Dont know how that will work out, but no harm in trying, only savings if it clicks! :-)
Thanks again!

re: The official alloy wheel show-off thread. Lets see your rims!

@altius
even i got the select kit almost 6 months after i bought the car.
with the sales of the jazz being dismal to say the least i am sure Honda would oblige to make sure the existing jazz owners are kept happy which could be important enough to keep the jazz sales from tricking down further.
Honda is actually pretty keen in this aspect to keep up their customer satisfaction.

@superboy44thanks very much. I called up Honda helpline and asked for a select kit. They have noted my details and said the local dealer will get back to me. Keeping my fingers crossed!

re: The official alloy wheel show-off thread. Lets see your rims!

Hi all,

I changed the alloys and tyres on my car (yet again). You can find the details of my previous alloys here - http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/tyre-a...heels-223.html

Details and photos of the new ones follow.

Alloys-
Brand: ELG (Elegant) Am not aware of this brand. The seller said it's a good brand and since I trust the seller I bought them.
Size: 15"x7J
Price: 4250 x 4 = Rs.17000

Tyres-
Brand: Bridgestone Turanza ER60
Size: 195/60/R15 (They look like 205s!)
Price: 4800 x 4 = Rs.19200

re: The official alloy wheel show-off thread. Lets see your rims!

@BunnyPunia- That's easily the best alloy job I've seen in a while on this thread. The i20 is a looker as it is, but your finishing touch just did the job. Kudos!

@Dolphin- very simple yet elegant looking. Gives your Swift real class.

I like non-contrasting alloys/body colour. My dark blue Swift has black alloys- look it up further up in this thread. Nice to see the trend catching on.

@ Dolphin

These are snazzy, I liked your previous ones too. What happened to them? Are you selling? if yes, pm me the numbers involved individually for the wheels and tires.

re: The official alloy wheel show-off thread. Lets see your rims!

@ Dolphin, those are some very neat looking alloys. But I feel it is a tad too pricey for an unknown brand. I did some quick googling and it seems that this is manufactured by a mumbai based company. Elegant Alloys Limited from Mazgaon, Mumbai
