looks really classy

please remove the rubber beading on the bumpers; kills the look of the vehicle.

Sure anytime.

I get what you mean about the white/black combo alloys.

However, even if you get the design that you want, you can get it painted in the way you want. Any decent car paint shop will paint the wheels (roughly 1000 per wheel) by masking the areas off.

cheers

re: The official alloy wheel show-off thread. Lets see your rims!

I am going to get a set of alloys fitted onto my Alto within the next 7 days, and am currently contemplating between a few designs of Plati and Neo. Any suggestions wrt the reliability, warranty concerns etc. of both these brands?

Also, the recommended PSI for my car is 30, but I usually ride with 32, since 90% of the time I drive with 4 people on board. Currently I have Michelin XM1+ 145/80 R12 tyres on stock steel rims. By upgrading to alloys, is it advisable to continue using 32 PSI? I ask this because I read on some threads that over inflation can cause unusual handling characteristics, and this can contribute towards damaging the alloys. In this case, would 32 PSI, considering 4 people on board, qualify as over-inflation?

PS. Sorry if this is OT, but couldn't find a more relevant thread to post this.

Go with NEO they are a domestic manufacturer so quality is assured and any warranty issues will be easily resolved.

As for the recommended tyre pressure, that recommendation is made with the car's maximum allowable tare weight as the considered load and not the kerb weight. In a nutshell it is the weight of the empty car + 250~350 kgs of additional weight. It is best to stick to the recommended air pressure.

What model of Neo is this? Is this a newly launched design? I don't remember seeing such design earlier.

Anyway car is looking great on these classy looking alloys.

Thanks for the reply. My other concern is, I noticed that Neo is priced slightly higher than Plati, and I have noticed more number of cars using Plati than those using Neo. Hence, with Plati probably being the more preferred brand, is this difference in price justified?

I think you can check the weight of the alloys as well, a lighter one should be better. I am also starting my search for alloys on Manza.

Thanks Bandhav. I don't know the model number. This might be an old model. This one came to showroom 6 months ago. Luckily no one picked it up till now.

This model is neither there in their printed catalog nor there on their website. somehow I have feeling that this is not Neo alloy. Have you got the Warranty card along with it?

re: The official alloy wheel show-off thread. Lets see your rims!

hey folks the search started today, and landed up with two alloys

1) AVA HS068 Hyper Black, this is a 9 spoke alloy in slight grayish color. 22k for 4 wheels
2) Some name called Avantage or something for 22k again for 4 wheels

Wanted to check if the above pricing is on the higher side?

re: The official alloy wheel show-off thread. Lets see your rims!

+1

This particular design on the red Innova does not seem to be Neo. I have also personally never seen this design, neither on their website or the printed catalogs or even at the distributors while I was on the lookout for alloys.

I think this can be ascertained if our fellow Bhpian can share the details on warranty cards & other tags that come along with Neo alloys. In fact, when I had bought Neo alloys for my car, I had noticed that they come in boxes with the alloy design & name & other details printed outside on the box.

re: The official alloy wheel show-off thread. Lets see your rims!

The price difference could be due to the fact that Neo being a domestic manufacturer, they have to load their pricing with the various duties and taxes etc. whereas the Platis are Chinese junk bought at ridiculous prices and maybe under invoiced too to evade full import duty etc. And everyone loves a deal.

YOu can also look at Apollo alloys. These are supposedly made by Synergy Dooray another domestic manufacturer who are also a big time OE vendor.
