Hi, back in mid-2009 I had bought Plati's for my Zen from Tyre Empire in Whitefield. They showed me the brochure and promised that any model I select can be sourced. Plus their service was excellent, since I had issues with the tyres fouling the wheel arches which was corrected by them without any fuss.
Welcome to Tyre empire

Pics of Wheels I got for the Zen: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/tyre-a...ml#post1374581

The Wheels themselves served me pretty well. And the new owner is still running them for the last 3 yrs without issues. I will give it a .

Hope this helps.

That pic was taken in Dec 2008. I just happened to stumble upon this thread a few weeks ago so thought of posting the pic that I had with me

Thanks very much zenster. I called them today for Plati alloys but looks like they dont sell Plati anymore. They have Neo,evo, and couple of other brands. They said "lot of customer complaint for plati saar. So we are not selling them any more. you come and pick from catalog for Plati, we will try to find matching alloy in other brands". They have opened in HSR as well (near old police station) , so may be next week i will have a look.

Mean while a question, "many customer complain about Plati" told by sales person is true? Any one here faced any issue with Plati alloys.

These alloys are on my Honda City 1.5 exi.Bought them for around Rs10,000/-.
Its a very plane jane design.but i like it.It makes the tires look slightly larger than they actually are.Riding on Yokohama Es100 14".

Evo alloys. Got it in Aug 2011. The prices might have gone up now. They cost me 20k for a set of 5.

I was very keen on 98 pcd though.
Had another problem with the alloys. The stock alloys for Emo Pk sit flush with the aid of the guide nuts. However, after market alloys do not have recess for guide nuts. So, you will have to remove them. As a result, the rim doesnt sit flush at the center of the hub(near the bearing). This causes vibrations above 80kmph (really scary ones). Need to fit hub rings for the same. Costs 400 bucks apiece for each wheel. Vibrations gone and the super smooth carpet is back. Got the rings from A-One Tires in Jayanagar.
