These alloys are new wheels fire. Took this pic on a recent trip at bandardhara.

They are pretty easy to maintain and do not jave deep lines which are difficult to clean.

I do not remember the exact cost but it was around 16000 combined for 4 it seems.

The thread's title says it all. Lets see your wheels.

Few of us (even me) would have shared a picture or two of an alloy wheel which would be really awesome from someone else's Car, but that is it.

Your few posts have pictures of alloys which are quite common. Now, if any day I come across a Car sporting these kind of wheels which completely transform the Car, I might share And that pic of the Santro has mismatching door handles, the alloy design is not too inspiring (relative) and the pic itself isn't clear.

In short, if you come across, a very striking design on a maintained Car and can click photo when you both are stationery, then please share

re: The official alloy wheel show-off thread. Lets see your rims!

Good afternoon team, today i got the wheel caps of my City Ivtec covered with Carbon Fibre vinyl. Got it done at Sector 8, noida, Ottozone. In my view, it seems to be a good alternative for new vehicles whose owner dont wont to do away with OEM rims. Plus its lot more economical. Just paid INR 400/- total for labor and INR 600/- for the vinyl sheet from Milan subway Mumbai.

thanks

We'll have to see how it looks after some wear and tear due to regular usage, may be a few months later. Have they done it for other cars and did it stand the test of time?

Hi mate, dont worry will surely give a update on their condition after a month. My car was the 1st one they have done so far. Actually they have a very good person in their team who has got finesse of doing jobs like this. I agree there can be wear tear but out of all options i found this to be a viable one considering that my car has run just 14.8k kms in 2.5years and the rims are well in shape so did not see the need to change them as of now. Plus this does not void the warranty of the car too which may have been void in case of a after market job. They are OEM hub caps.

thanks

Sorry Mate, this is weird, and it will not last long.
Painting the wheel caps would have been a better option.

re: The official alloy wheel show-off thread. Lets see your rims!

ad, sorry to disappoint you, but that does not look good at all. You could have instead used the wrap on the pillars, that might have suited the car more.

The silver part of the wheel caps is still visible and that looks odd. Just like akshay mentioned, painting them black would have been a better option.

@carzone @akshay, good evening, thanks a lot for the honest reply. I shall get the silver part blacked off asap. Myself i was not content with the final outcome. Appreciate your idea.

thanks

Please post a picture of the entire car and not the wheels alone. Have a feeling it will look better when the whole car is seen.

I guess the look can be improved by extending the vinyl to cover the entire wheel cap. There is still some grey visible.
